Andrew Purves, COO of William Purves Funeral Directors, has been part of a working group advising the Scottish government on the introduction of water cremation.

Also known as hydrolysis, Scotland could be the first part of the UK to introduce this, following recent changes in legislation.

Suddenly, but peacefully, at her home, on September 6th, 2025, after a long and happy life, Jane (Jean) in her 92nd year, beloved wife of the late Albert Gambling, a much loved mum, dearly loved mother-in-law and a loving gran. Funeral service in Dundee Crematorium, on Wednesday, September 17, at 2:30p.m., to which all family and friends are respectfully invited. Family flowers only, please, but donations, if desired, may be made to Parkinson's Disease Society at the crematorium.
