We often talk about our memorial gardens - they are one of many meaningful forms of memorial here at the crematorium. A great deal of care goes into creating each one, ensuring it is special, unique and a true reflection of the person it honours 🌹

This guide offers an overview of how we build the gardens, along with the different elements available to help make each space deeply personal.

As we move further into spring, we’ll be outside even more, sharing details about our memorial gardens over the coming days and weeks.

Starting tomorrow
Upcoming road works around the Crematorium:

A90 Kingsway Structural Reconstruction Scheme (northbound between A923 Coupar Angus Road and Strathmartine Road roundabout)
from Sunday 5 April to Wednesday 15 April:

A90 Kingsway (A923 Coupar Angus Road to Strathmartine Road) – overnight (10.00pm to 6.30am) northbound and southbound lane closures on Sunday 5 April for installation of contraflow system.

A90 Kingsway (A923 Coupar Angus Road to Strathmartine Road) - contraflow system from 6.30am on Monday 6 April to 7.30pm on Tuesday 14 April.

Macalpine Road northbound on/off slip roads – closed from 6.30am on Monday 6 April to 7.30pm on Tuesday 14 April.

Please plan accordingly for travel to and from the crematorium as their may be traffic delays.

Roads - GeneralPlanned road closures and restrictions are necessary to allow for a variety of maintenance work including resurfacing and reconstruction as well as water, sewer, electricity, gas and telecom supply/renewal/maintenance works, etc.

Suddenly, but peacefully at home, on Tuesday March 24th, 2026. Shanele, beloved daughter of Olive and Ron, much loved sister of Drew and a loving partner of Kenny.

Funeral service in Dundee Crematorium, on Wednesday, April 15th at 10:30am, to which all family and friends are respectfully invited. Family flowers only, please.

The family of the late Ann Ward have asked us to share the following funeral notice.

WARD - Peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on March 23rd, 2026, Ann (nee Robertson) beloved wife of Peter, dearly loved mum of Graeme, and Gill, mother-in-law of Jacqueline, and a dear sister of Catherine. Funeral service in Dundee Crematorium on Wednesday, April 8th, at 12.30 pm to which all family and friends are welcome. Family flowers only please, but donations in lieu can be made at the service for Marie Curie Cancer Care, M.S. Society and British Heart Foundation.
