We had our disco at Fairfield Bowling Club last Friday and raised a whopping £1450 for our residents wellbeing fund. We would like to thank all the family, residents and staff who attended and made it all such fun. Special mention to Ernie at Fairfield Bowling Club for having us and helping us to get it done. And Tesco Extra for the generous donation of raffle prizes and everyone that made a donation. More pictures to follow...

We all had great fun making jam under the expert guidance of the lovely Liliana. This is something many of our residents have done many times before but for some it was a new experience.

This week we all fell in love with the wonderful ALBA Therapy Ponies Squiggles and Haggis who brought their equine love to Pitkerro and we loved them!

Raffle Prizes Sought

This Friday our residents and many family members will be supporting us in raising some money at Fairfield Bowling Club. Our residents and staff are a notoriously groovy lot and we are looking for some local businesses who would like to donate some prizes to our raffle. Of course all our supporters will be included in our follow up post and publicity across Dundee. Call the home on 01382 214520 and ask for Dawn or Lynsey if you feel you can help.

We love a birthdat at Pitkerro. Last week John celebrated his with his beloved wife Jean. Good on you John. Thanks again Liliana for an amazing cake.

Last week a lot of us also had a go at flower arranging. You can see that it was a very focused activity, you could hear a pin drop! Serious business is flower arranging!

Last week saw some wonderfully jolly babies visit us from The Bairns Group. How great to see all those smiling faces on the faces of the old and young. What a terrific time we had.

We also managed our monthly session of worship with our friends at Dundee: Northeast Church of Scotland. Plenty of hymns and readings which brings great comfort to our residents.

Last week we got out into the garden and picked some apples off the trees. Lovely pictures and Liliana our chef made good on the apples we collected. How lucky we are to have such a large, well stocked garden.

Yesterday we had the pleasure of celebrating David's 90th birthday. David's family came and helped him celebrate in our quiet lounge and our chef team helped prepare some delicious nibbles.
