7 habits that are changing my life in 2025 — as an introvert, a mama, and a mindful human
1. Morning routine: I used to follow a rigid routine. Now I’ve slowed it down, and it feels like a gift. I still wake up around 5, but instead of rushing through tasks, I treat it as quiet “me time.” I meditate or do breathwork for just 5 minutes, add some journaling and that solitude fills my cup. As an introvert, this calm start helps me show up more fully for my family throughout the day.
2. Listening to my cycle: I’ve always loved fasting and exercise, but syncing both with my menstrual cycle has been a complete game changer. Whether it’s yoga, a walk, or a more intense workout, I tune into my body now. And the results feel more sustainable and empowering.
3. Reading a book: It might sound simple, but reading either in the morning or before bed clears my mind. Just a few pages of something nourishing helps me stay grounded and inspired.
4. Prioritising health: I’ve become more intentional with what I eat not in a strict way, but by adding variety and trying new ingredients. Cooking feels fun, and it brings balance to my energy. I feel more nourished from within.
5. Creating a focus window: I set aside 2–3 hours daily to work on my personal goals or creative projects. This suits my rhythm as a homeschooling parent. I no longer criticise myself for doing “less.” I just commit to showing up consistently and that’s what keeps me going without burnout.
6. Always learning new things: I’m always curious, but instead of watching the news, I turn to podcasts. They keep me inspired and gently informed. It’s a beautiful way to learn, reflect, and grow whether I’m on a walk or doing chores.
7. Less screen time: No screens after I wake up and none after 6 p.m. This one habit has truly changed my energy. No scrolling first thing in the morning. No phone after 6 p.m. Less distraction, better sleep, and more presence.
If you’re looking for more peace, clarity, or focus the rest of the year… maybe try one✨
