On a day of torrential rain, less than a year ago Laura and I met for the first time.
Together with an eclectic group of women we took our dowsing rods and journeyed into the unknown, following the Belinus line and the dragons which wind themselves all along its length. As we approached Malcolm’s tower in Pittencrieff park, a great rumbling of thunder was heard… the energy was electric, and the Glen emptied of all human activity except us. We barely knew each other… yet there was a shared knowing…we all felt it.
With hindsight we now know that Malcolm’s tower is a deeply powerful meeting point for the lines…. And not surprisingly…. For this was the dwelling place of a king and his queen who brought magical energy to our historic city of Dunfermline….

Did you know there are many different kinds of dowsing? You can use the traditional rods, a pendulum, or even your own body!
You have likely heard of dowsing to find water… and I have seen our local water company doing this? But there are so many other uses for our sacred tools… from locating earth energy lines, finding lost objects, and even changing outcomes….each of these is incredibly magical….and often life changing.
We can connect with nature, and even a tree has its own special aura which we can dowse for and connect with.

Never be afraid of getting older! Honestly… next week I will be half way through my 6th decade, and I simply cannot believe how every single day brings more and more surprises…..when I look back over the last year there is so much to be grateful for… there have been amazing new discoveries, and most importantly of all some really incredible new friendships have been born.

Laura has written here of her take on it.

‘Almost a year ago I was in Dunfermline with a friend. We had no agenda other than coffee and a visit to a shop called Pure Craft. I look back on that day almost a year ago and know that it was not by chance that Anita and I met.

I really believe that the Universe guides us to our soul friends and family and though it may seem strange, our friendship is one that has endured many lifetimes. We know this because we pendulumed it! It explains why we are so comfortable in each other’s company. I think you can see that from some of our photos!

Since we met I have learned so many new things. We have made so many interesting discoveries together too. We are both passionate about our local land and the magic that it holds.

As a Reiki Master Practitioner & Teacher and someone who is sensitive to energy, I am absolutely blown away by the earth connections we are making. That’s why we are so enthusiastic about sharing our work together! We want you to feel it too.

Everything real is imagined first……dowsing for the Belinus earth energy line began as a bit of a hunch to be honest. We have lived here for 37 years, and have always found it to be a warm, welcoming space, but did not think to question ‘how could this be?’
Until one day, around 2 years ago, I began to wonder if there was more to it? I made a few enquiries… emailed a couple of people, and made an incredible discovery!
The farm where we live, in this little unassuming corner of Fife, is actually right on the Belinus line!
Things moved fast after that… I kind of turfed James out of his workshop, and into a lovely new space (that wasn’t too hard to be fair!), and began work on what would become Belinus Lodge.
And then took my first tentative steps into dowsing with rods…. Although pendulums had long been part of my everyday practise, this was something new and incredibly exciting!
Today Laura and I arrange gatherings where you can join us to share in these discoveries… and if you have never felt a set of dowsing rods come alive in your hands you are going to be absolutely amazed!
Belinus is an incredibly warm, comforting energy line, stretching from the Isle of Wight to the very north of Scotland… there are lots of places locally to dowse and feel into the lovely energising spirit, and that is where we can help!
We will keep you updated here on our events, both out and about and right here, and would love to show you the magic of earth energy!

We just wanted to share some of our photo’s from our event on Saturday. We had such a wonderful group join us that really embraced the rods!

We loved seeing the surprise and joy on everyone’s face when they connected to the Earth energy lines.

Many of us are experiencing a weariness when it comes to social media… actually being on here, feeling in many ways as if we are talking into the air. Reach is really low. Many people are unable to attend workshops and gatherings due to financial constraints, which is totally understandable, but it makes me feel ‘why put in all of the behind the scenes work to make them available when uptake is almost non existent?
There is also the problem of the profusion of AI generated posts… I’m not talking about adverts… I mean actual practitioners using it almost exclusively for their posts…..it’s incredibly easy to spot …. And frustrating as hell when you are making genuine offerings which are drowning in a sea of inauthenticity.
What to do?
I do not have the answers, but like some of my friends, I am going to simply pull away for a while, live in the real world and just enjoy my dowsing and pendulum practises for myself and my friends.
I don’t know what will happen. This is bigger than us. But I trust in the magic…
Just trying to keep afloat in this ocean of fakery has me beat.
I am still passionately excited about what I actually do though….and if you and a friend (s) want to learn either dowsing our beautiful earth energies or pendulum alchemy.. the art of changing reality through the use of a pendulum, Wattsapp me and I will definitely show up for you.
Meanwhile, I know I am not alone in stepping away for a while…..
