In today's world, we are at an all time high of people being unhappy, living a life full of fear, doubt and worry
Over 8 million people in the UK alone, are experiencing an anxiety disorder at any given time
I came across holotropic Breathwork when I was experiencing PTSD. It was one of the worst times of my life for many reasons
I didn't want to go down the road of medication only, wanting to take a holistic approach to my symptoms. I knew the physical symptoms were coming from mind
I was studying the mind at the time but it was my physical symptoms that were causing me more harm ... anxiety, depression, fluctuating moods, loneliness, self hate, self blame, unloveable ...
Breathing ... thats what started shifting things for me
Not breathing to calm everything down and relax the nervous system. I used the breath to ignite my nervous system
The amount of people suffering from PTSD is not just military and ex-military, which honestly, I didn't know, with about 4% of the UK population experiencing PTSD
For me, it was brought upon after sudden grief and not of a person per se, but a situation
Talking therapy helps hugely - I've always been an advocate of talking things through
Breath is hugely beneficial on so many levels; sometimes talking isn't always an option
My door is open for talking and for breathing
