If any previous participants would like to help out Olivia, a journalism student from Salford University, she is keen to find out your thoughts of pregnancy or postnatal pilates for a magazine she is putting together as part of her 3rd year assignment. It won't be published but will be written up along with my contribution and will improve her knowledge of pre and postnatal pilates which helps spread the word about how beneficial pilates can be.

If you would like to help her out, please email as much or as little info as would like to amydalyphysio@gmail.com or I can pass on her email to you. Tight deadline so a quick response please if you would like to help!

1. A little background information: Full name, age, where you live, how many children you have?
2. What benefits do you feel after you take part in the pre or postnatal pilates sessions? And would you recommend the sessions to others and if so why?
3. How long have you been taking part in the pre & postnatal pilates sessions? Did you take part in the sessions both pre and post pregnancy?
4. If you could pick three words that you associate with pre & postnatal pilates, what would they be?

Essential reading for current attendees of Postnatal Pilates and volunteers. COVID-19 precautions.

Pilates classes are continuing to go ahead. Please be aware this may change in the following weeks. Additional measures have been put in place to mitigate risk, based on advice from Health Protection Scotland. Please read this post fully before you come to pilates on 16 March 2020.

Before the class

• Email me immediately if you have tested positive for COVID-19.
• Do not come to pilates if you have symptoms of COVID-19 (onset of a new continuous cough and/or high temperature within the past 7 days). Please inform me by email and a full refund of the classes you miss will be given.
• If you have developed an underlying health problem since completing your registration form, phone me to discuss whether it is appropriate that you continue coming to pilates.
• Phone or email me if you have any concerns about coming to pilates. Please consider the health of your children, elderly relatives or those you have caring responsibilities for when deciding whether to come or not. If you are symptom free and you decide not to come to proactively protect yourself or others, you can choose to receive electronic exercise programmes or in the current circumstances, a full refund will be given.
• Consider whether you are happy to bring your child to the class and whether you consent to your baby being touched or picked up by the volunteers. Please be aware that the volunteers may not be present depending on their own health or decision making.
• If you bring your baby, please bring plenty of tissues and/or muslin cloths.

During the class

• On arrival at the venue, wash hands with soap and water for 20 seconds.
• Limit physical greetings with others if you arrive early.
• Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
• Cough or sneeze into a tissue or the crook of your elbow.
• Feel free to bring your own mat if you wish.
• Mats will be laid out to ensure as much space as possible between attendees.
• Stay on the same mat for the duration of the class.
• There will be less hands-on correction of your posture.
• There will be less additional equipment used (resistance bands, gym balls).
• Tell me straight away if you feel unwell during the class.
• At the end of the class, wipe down your mat with the alcohol wipes provided.

After the class

• Email me if you have tested positive for COVID-19.
• Phone or email me if you have any concerns about continuing to come to pilates.
