Super excited to receive our new Piezosurgery kit this week.

This allows us to perform a range of new procedures at a high level of precision and can reduce discomfort and improve healing times.

Extractions can be simplified and in the case of some broken roots the Piezosurgery unit can help us avoid the need for surgery. There are new techniques that we can use for bone surgery and implants, and combined with our surgical laser, the piezosurgery unit will help to minimise discomfort and help improve healing for our Patients.

An early Christmas present arrived today 🎁 Our Osstell Beacon arrived. This new piece of equipment allows us to measure the stability of implants after placement and before we place the implant crown. This helps to ensure that the implant is integrated into the bone before we place the implant crown.

We are so excited to have been shortlisted for the Private Dentistry Awards 2021.

We are now providing our full range of dental services at Park Avenue and are accepting new private patient registrations.

We have also taken delivery of our new Air Polisher. A gentler way of removing stains from teeth. I think the results speak for themselves. The Air Polisher is available for both registered and non-registered patients.

We got our 3D printer up and running in the practice today. Another step into the world of digital dentistry.

Did you know we provide a range of orthodontics at Park Avenue, including Clear Aligners, Inman Aligners and also C-Fast (white/clear fixed braces which are shown in the video below)

We finished this patients treatment just over a year ago. The top photo shows what their teeth were like before visiting us. The lower photo was taken this week as part of the patients review. The patient now has a much happier more confident smile.

A small composite restoration we did in the last week. The existing amalgam restoration had failed and there was decay present. We removed this and placed a tooth coloured composite restoration.

We are open again from tomorrow (Tuesday 5th January)

We will still be providing essential and urgent dental care with our usual high levels of infection control to ensure patient and staff safety.

Patients can still travel to their medical and dental appointments as these have been deemed essential by the Scottish Government.

Using our 3D intraoral scanner we are now able to make precision-milled, tooth coloured, fixed orthodontic retainers.

☑️ Less noticeable than metal wire retainers
☑️ Only 0.8mm thick
☑️ Connector allows interdental cleaning using an interdental brush

We are now back to our normal opening hours at Park Avenue.

We have put in place some extra protocols to ensure the safety of our Patients and Staff during the Covid 19 pandemic and one of the Staff will go over these with you prior to your appointment.

There have been quite a few exciting developments for the practice over lockdown including the installation of a 3D Intraoral Scanner. This allows us to make Crowns, Bridges, Mouthguards, Splints and various Orthodontic Appliances without the need for impressions. The scanner is highly accurate allowing the lab to produce an excellent fitting restoration.

We will post more information about the scanner, and other technological advancements we have made, over the coming week.

We look forward to welcoming you back into the practice.

With our new intraoral scanner arriving next week we will be able to offer our Clear Aligners, Inman Aligners and C-Fast orthodontics without the need for any impressions. The scanner makes a digital 3D model of your teeth on which we can design and create Aligners, crowns, bridges and implant restorations.

Using the scanner we will now be able to offer Clear Aligners “invisible removable braces”, Inman Aligners and C-Fast “tooth coloured fixed braces” From £1700.
