Yoga for Pregnancy

Yoga for Pregnancy My weekly class runs on Monday nights 7-8.30pm in St Andrews-Erskine Church on Robertson Road, Dunfermline.

The class is suitable for women 16+ weeks pregnant with their first, second or subsequent baby. Yoga for pregnancy can help to improve flexibility, strength and stamina in preparation for the birth of your baby, while the breathing practices aid relaxation and sleep, and reduce stress. It can help to reduce the discomforts of pregnancy, promotes healthy blood flow and tones muscles without overstretching, particularly those of the vital pelvic floor.

The next 6-week block of classes will start on Monday 5th January 2026 from 19:00 to 20:30 in Dunfermline St. Columba's Church on Robertson Road in Dunfermline. It is suitable for you from about 18 weeks pregnancy and you do not need prior experience of yoga. Yoga in pregnancy can tone and prepare the muscle groups used to support the pregnancy and towards birth, particularly in the abdomen, back and pelvic floor, while the breathing practices aid reflection and relaxation. The class will resume on Monday 20th October and the block will end on Monday 3rd November.
