Fully Funded Consultations for those experiencing financial hardship.

At Menopause Support we want to ensure that everyone, whatever their financial circumstances, has somewhere to turn for help and support. To ensure that we have been offering our paid (£75) and concession private video/phone consultations, which can include a letter for your doctor, for over a decade. I am delighted to say that we can now also offer fully funded consultations for anyone experiencing financial hardship.

Consultations are with advisors who have professional nurse training in menopause. You can use the time to speak about anything related to menopause and we can guide and support you.

less light, more stress, and a whole lot of “just getting through it.”

But you’re here. You kept going. And that matters.

So if no one’s told you lately: I’m proud of you. Keep taking it one day at a time because brighter days are already on the way.

For anyone like me who struggles energy wise with the dark evenings. The days are getting longer quite quickly; we’ll have 18 more minutes on Sunday compared to today…. Well we would if it wasn’t going to be grey all day 😀

Happy 2026 and here’s to the year of the horse.

I’m going to be getting an office back at the business centre in Dunfermline (if all goes to plan) and should have much more in person availability from February. 😊

EMDR is a great treatment for overcoming phobias. Fear of driving is something I work with regularly along with emetophobia (fear of sick/ being sick) and fear of flying.

EMDR is my preferred treatment over CBT for phobias as it addresses and heals the root cause which is often nothing to do with the phobia itself.

Leaves on a stream exercise is something I often introduce clients to. It’s a way of unhooking from our thoughts so that we don’t get so caught up in them (I definitely find this helpful when life gets busy and a lot of things to try and balance)

It’s been a busy few months at Peak Counselling, and I’m currently running at full capacity with a short waiting list for new referrals.

I’ve also been making plans to secure my own therapy office again by early 2026. This will allow me to offer more in-person sessions, alongside the online work that continues to be a core part of my practice.
