A sad post for me to write, but just letting everyone know I have "retired" from teaching HypnoBirthing™ the Mongan Method.
After 46 years in nursing, midwifery, then hypnobirthingI'm calling it a day!

PANDAS host online zoom support groups for Dads ❤️ 🙌

If you are a Dad and feeling the strain of parenting, or simply want to connect with other Dads, then this is the place for you.

The calls will take place between 20.00-22.00 every Monday. The calls are drop in, so please feel free to join and leave the call when it suits you within that timeframe.

The group will be hosted by our amazing Dad volunteers, and you will be able to chat to other dads who maybe experiencing a similar journey as you. You will also be able to offer support to other Dads. We hope it will be a chance to reduce isolation and to get more support.

I decided to put teaching on hold for a few months.

From The Guardian yesterday
"The numbers of expectant mothers in intensive care has risen steadily in recent months, from 17 in March to 22 in June but a spike in admissions occurred last month amid rising Covid cases and a loosening of restrictions. The mean age of admission is 32.

Dr Edward Morris, the president of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, said: “The number of pregnant women being admitted to ICU is worrying and reflects the rising prevalence of the virus in the UK that we saw in July.

“We have data of nearly 200,000 pregnant women receiving the vaccine with no safety concerns … We recommend that all pregnant women should get vaccinated against Covid-19, as the best way to protect themselves and their babies against severe illness and premature birth.”
