So here’s a few tips from me:
👌🏼 keep your skin CLEAN
making sure you’re cleansing and toning morning AND evening!
Cleansing your skin in the morning is so important because your skin can accumulate environmental debris in your sleep, so it's necessary to wash them off in the morning. Dead skin cells and allergens may collect on your pillowcase and be transferred to the skin throughout the night. - equally keep your pillow clean, spot bacteria can live here too!
Not just that, but it’s incredibly important to go to sleep with clean skin, as when you sleep, your cells renew, if your sleeping in your makeup, those pores become clogged, leading to pimples and breakouts 🤦🏼♀️
👌🏼 Cleansing your skin in the evening is super important. It helps to get rid of all the makeup, dirt and grime on your skin that has sat there all day! Those who live in industrialised areas, are more susceptible to pollution and that pollution sits on your skin, unless you cleanse away. - think about your work area too!
👌🏼 A blemish prevention serum!
We have 2 incredible serums that help to unclog pores and help blackheads, refine pores, control oil and feed the bacteria on our faces to protect against spot causing bacteria getting into our skin.
👌🏼 Don’t keep touching the face.
The more you touch, pick and prod, the more bacteria you are putting back into your skin, causing more break outs!
👌🏼 Water and Vitamins.
It goes without saying really, 2L of water a day (something I've not been personally doing for a number of years now) not only helps you feel better, but also really helps your skin, helps to keep you hydrated from the inside out.
Vitamins are also vital for your skin.
Finally, diet! Eating fast food/sugary food everyday, will not help your skin at all.
Breakouts can be a number of things. The first thing people blame is their skincare. When in actual fact it can be, stress, hormones, lack of sleep, diet, lack of hydration, touching the skin, makeup and the list goes on.
