A lovely atmosphere in Corkhill this afternoon as residents and families enjoyed afternoon tea. One resident, whose idea it was to have this event and whose lovely china teasets were used, was very much missed today. We know Betty you would have throughly enjoyed today, chatting to your family and friends , you were in our thoughts today.
Thanks to all the staff on duty who helped to make this afternoon so successful.

Cook/Chef - Part time/Casual hours available.
No professional qualifications needed but an excellent standard of home cooking and baking is required.

Kitchen/dinning room assistant - Previous experience working within a kitchen preferable but not essential as training will be provided. Full and part time hours available.Position required to assist cook with all daily tasks within the busy kitchen of a 48 bed nursing home and also to assist residents during meal times.

Thanks once again to our friends and neighbours, the congregation of Crossdernott church for welcoming us to their Christmas Carol Service. We very much appreciate them thinking of our residents at this time of year and for the generous gifts the Sunday School children provide for our residents 🎄
Of course Henry, one of our nurses, also enjoys the opportunity to entertain the congregation while we are being served tea and mince pies.

Thanks to Galbally Comhaltas for entertaining our residents and their families this afternoon with their wonderful music. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed listening to the talented children, and watching them play so enthusiastically. Hopefully we’ll see you again soon.

Grateful thanks to Rev Roland Watt, our friend and neighbour, for conducting our Harvest Service today. The residents and their families and friends thoroughly enjoyed Roland’s message on the meaning of Harvest thanksgiving and everyone enjoyed the praise singing. Thank you also to Barbara for helping with the praise.

It was a wonderful day of celebrations at Corkhill as our lovely resident Lizzie turned 100. Friends and family joined in the celebrations, with everyone enjoying the music and dancing.
