Signing this will take 30secs and this will hopefully have a massive impact for the good, for our children. Social media is the ruination of teenagers and young adults. It’s an epidemic in itself and I see this all the time in clinic. Making this age change law, makes things a bit harder for the kids to get signed up. They are all very tech savvy these days so obviously there will be ways round it for them, but even some sort of barrier to hold the authorities that be accountable is better than nothing.

Do you find it hard to start or maintain something?

A routine? A goal? A new mindset?

If so, kinesiology can definitely help with this. We can help shift the energy that’s stopping you from carrying out what it is you most want to do.

Have you locked yourself out?

Have you heard of the opal app? This little genius allows you to lock yourself out of certain apps at certain times.

I can’t say what a difference this has made to my sleep, my productivity and my motivation.

I’ve just got the basic version that you don’t pay for and you can lock yourself out of 3 apps. I’ve set my times from 10pm - 6am everyday and the apps I’ve locked myself out of are, Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp. This can be set to whatever times you want and whatever apps.

I’ve said goodbye to endless scrolling at night, getting carried away when I see something I like and automatically buying it, as I have the time to look at pay for it, without WhatsApp it means I can’t respond to people who have messaged. If anything is urgent during the day, I obviously respond but most days, my days are like most, that jammed packed I get to respond to no one, so I’d sit at night and reply when I should be sleeping, now I just make an effort after the kids are in bed to reply.

I honestly cannot recommend this enough. Hopefully not you can expect more social posts as I’m not sitting scrolling through it 😂

Do yourself a favour and download it right away

The last day of 2025

How does that feel?
Did we just blink and it’s the end of the year?

It’s been pretty wild this year, 2025 has had a lot of ups and downs. It’s been energetically quite down and rough and ready. It’s delivered a few low blows and made a lot of us go wtf just happened.

2025 is the year 9 in numerology. It’s the end of a 9 year cycle. Usually meaning it goes out with a bang! 🤯 💥

2026 is the year 1 in numerology. This means new beginnings, new choices, independence, a new cycle for us all. A new start! There are big things coming from 2026, so if there is any advice I can give you now, is make a plan, don’t be exact, just the end goal. Whatever that is, dream big! Don’t worry about the how, worry about the why and what!

Be bold
Be brave
Be adventurous

If you’ve been thinking of coming on Saturday to my goal setting workshop and haven’t booked yet, if you don’t, you will regret it! Trust me!

Thank you 2025 but see you tomorrow 2026 😉

Stay on track

This can be with lots of things, fitness, healthy eating, your goal setting, your career, your hobby, your to do list.

Accountability is key. Have someone to fight your corner, have someone to keep you on track. This could be a friend, family member, coach. Whatever or whoever it is, make sure they know your reason for it, as much as you do!

This will help so much. Remember not everyone’s reasons are the same, some are small, some massive and life changing. If you are the person to keep someone accountable, remember their reason, not yours or what you think it should be.

Setting yourself up for a win

So I didn’t realise how many people doesn’t like the term, New Year’s resolutions or Goal setting so I’ve coined it, setting yourself up for a win!

Planning something and manifesting it, is 2 very different things. I’m a huge believer and advocate for writing down your goals every night, yes every night. It keeps us in check and keeps our dreams and goals alive. It keeps us motivated, allows us to detour when needed and necessary and gives us a sense of achievement and accomplishment when you can see one of those goals ticked off.

It can be as basic or as out there as you like, whatever works for you, but I can tell you one thing for certain it works.

Grab yourself a new journal/ book and pen. Date the top of the page every day and start writing. Mine do be the same day in, day out, but that’s because I know exactly what I want as the end gaol, how I get there, don’t have a clue, but i always get there.

If you want more information and some guidance, come to my workshop on Saturday 3rd January, it’s sure to set you up for the year ahead and show you how this really works in your favour!

Get out and about

There really is no excuse, the weather is so mild. If you are fit and able to, we should all be making an extra effort to get out outside and go for a walk or get some fresh air.

It’s good for our soul, as well as our physical body and mental health. It’s surreal how we downplay the benefits of nature and fresh air.

I notice a huge difference with my kids and especially when I don’t get out. Even if it’s just a walk around the house, get out!

Stop with the strict routine and break it up for a few days, it will fall back into place in a day or 2 again. It’s good to just be present and enjoy everyone around you, so make it a family walk or a walk and talk with a cuppa in hand, just get outside!

Try not to feel guilty

This next few days to a week are going to involve a lot of over indulgencing, feeling guilty, eating and drinking more, feeling even more guilty, feeling like you could burst you are so full and feeling guilty again.

Please remember this only comes around once a year, for some it’s their only decent break they get a year 🙋‍♀️, family might be off when they aren’t usually, family might be home from living elsewhere or overseas, friends could be more inclined to go out.

So as much as we all look forward to January 1st to ‘start again’ enjoy the now and happiness and sometimes sadness that Christmas can bring.

Go for a walk in the morning before it all kicks off or continues
Take some peppermint tea
Space meals out throughout the day
Change your drink to something less bloating or fizzy

This year feels different than most, there has been a lot this year and it’s been quite heavy, so please take this time with enjoy the holidays are best you can; with the people you love the most.

Merry Christmas

Wow what a year it’s been. It’s been incredible having you all in my clinic this year.

2025 has been a bit crazy and it’s so hard to believe it’s near the end of December already.

Thank you, thank you to everyone who has seen me, trusted me with your problems, recommended me to everyone you meet and helped me be the best kinesiologist around 😉 I literally go to work and love what I do, you never hear me moan about working as a kinesiologist.

I hope everyone has a lovely Christmas or as best as you can manage.

I’m back in my clinic space from Friday 2nd January, so all mails and messages will be responded to then, as I take some well earned rest and time with my little family.

❤️
