How to feel like you again
That’s a tough one because you aren’t the person you were a year ago, a month ago, a week ago and even yesterday.
How to feel and accept the new person you’ve become?
We evolve over time in so many ways, sometimes it feels wonderful, other times it’s relentless.
We probably will never be the same person we once were and that’s ok. It might be tough to read that but it’s true.
If certain circumstances didn’t occur, then you wouldn’t be you now. You wouldn’t have learned some lessons, learned to grow and love, overcome challenges you didn’t even realise were possible.
We have to get to know the new person we’ve become, learn the new ways we act, we think, we feel.
Ask for help and support from family and friends, from the doctor/ midwife/ support care team.
Reach out to organisations or charities for help, again please message me if you need a point in the right direction.
Get a book and write. Write how you feel now, what you’ve learned, what you’ve become.
You can’t turn back, it’s only going forward from here on in.
Kinesiology can also really help,
For new mums, we can help balance the hormones,
For grief, we can work on the emotions, the numbness, general all round care,
For sickness, we can look at what can help you move forward,
For confusion and you don’t know what’s going on, we can look at how to feel strong enough to figure it out
For anxiety, we can look at triggers and how to deal with them
The list goes on, we change so often and change is hard, but its how we manage the change and transition that’s going to determine how we feel
