This week we’ve had a little office revamp thanks to Ben and Damien 👏
Ben is travelling the world, from Colorado to Spain, Italy and beyond.....but when he landed in our small village of 'The' Moy, he stayed :-)
When I asked what he loved most about Ireland, his answer was simple:
“The people.”
It’s a reminder that wherever we are in life, it’s our connections that matter most.
As Ben prepares for his next adventure, we’ll miss him.
Sometimes the greatest joy is found in the smallest places. 🤍

In the rush of life, it’s easy to put yourself last.
To minimise your feelings.
To tell yourself others have it worse.

But your experiences matter.
Your emotions matter.
Your mental health matters.

You don’t need a crisis to deserve support.
You don’t need to justify needing help.

Therapy is a space where you come first — where your story is heard with care, respect, and compassion. You are worthy of support, simply because you are human.

So much of our stress comes from expectation.

How we should feel.
How things should look.
How we should cope.

But pressure doesn’t create peace — permission does.

Permission to rest.
Permission to say no.
Permission to do things differently this year.

CBT can help you notice these unhelpful “shoulds” and gently challenge them, creating more space for calm and self-compassion.

You are allowed to choose what feels right for you.

For many people in relationships.....silence or exclusion can feel suffocating.....

Maybe you have spent years 'walking on eggshells' to balance precariously a fragile sense of peace.
Maybe you have felt pushed, pulled, bullied, shamed or excluded.
Maybe you have carried blame.
Maybe you haven't been able to share how YOU have felt or your story

It's important to know this

You did not lose your place
because you were unlovable.
You did not do anything wrong
Sometimes exclusion isn’t about who you are...
it’s about what you wouldn’t become.

Silence and exclusion can be a dysfunctional system’s way of staying comfortable and in control.
Truth often makes people uneasy.
And when those you feel who SHOULD support you don't....then remember it is NOT your fault....this is about them not being in a place where they feel they CAN..... because doing so may make them experience the same pain....
And that can sometimes feel like too much of a price to pay.
Remember that you do not have to carry the shame of a dysfunctional system.

If this resonates, let it land gently.
You are allowed to take up space.
You are allowed to grieve what wasn’t given.
You are allowed to keep your integrity.
You are allowed to be yourself
You are going to be ok.......

Building a belief is exciting. As we navigate through life we all have dreams and aspirations. So why can it be so difficult to build on those dreams?

Blocking beliefs can be internal and external.

So this means that we can THINK and feel emotional, OR there may be practical things that block us from moving forward.

Some typical blocking beliefs:

đź§  Internal Blocks (Mindset & Emotions)

1. Fear of Failure Worrying about making mistakes or not succeeding.
2. Perfectionism - Feeling like everything must be perfect before starting.
3. Lack of Clarity – Not knowing exactly what steps to take.
4. Overwhelmed – Feeling like there’s too much to do, leading to paralysis.
5. Procrastination – Delaying tasks due to fear, boredom, or lack of urgency.
6. Lowered Self-Confidence – Doubting your ability to succeed.
7. Fear of Judgment – Worrying about what others will think.
8. Lack of Motivation – Not feeling inspired or driven to take action.

🌿 External Blocks (Circumstances & Environment)

1. Lack of Resources – Not having enough time, money, or knowledge.
2. Distractions – Social media, emails, or other interruptions.
3. Toxic Environment – Negative influences from people around you.
4. Competing Priorities – Other responsibilities taking up time and energy.

The first step to building on your beliefs is to recognise your blocks.

Sometimes these blocks can be heavier depending on our early life experiences.

Without realising, you may have carried internal heavy blocks for longer than you think.
Blocks that are really THOUGHTS like:

'I am not good enough'
'I am a failure'
'I am inferior'

The thing about these blocks is that they feel like we believe them.

Remember that you don't have to keep carrying blocks to beliefs, and dreams are easier to achieve with a lighter load.

✨ You ARE good enough and you are worth SO much.
✨ You are allowed to try and you are allowed to make mistakes.
✨ You never fail, you just change course.

Remind yourself of your dreams. They are possible with belief and action together. ❤️

What you can choose is intention.

Healing.
Clarity.
Balance.
Self-kindness.

Tomorrow is Monday… and it’s Christmas week 🎄

Sometimes, procrastination can be exhausting.
Motivation can feel hard to find..... especially at this time of year.
But when you feel slowed down and stuck… do it anyway!
Start small......take one step.

EMDR helps access those deeper layers — the stored emotion, the old fear, the unresolved pain — and guides the brain to process them safely.

It doesn’t erase your story.
It frees you from reliving it.

Healing can be gentle.

✨ Have you been ghosted? ✨

It’s subtle at first… nothing you can quite put your finger on......
They’re just not there as much.
Maybe they’re “busy”, “tired”, “stressed”…
Something feels off, but you don’t want to make a big deal of it.

You start wondering:
“Maybe it’s me?”
“Am I being too needy?”
“Too sensitive?”
“Too much?”

So you step back… hoping things will get better.
Except — they don’t.

This is the confusing, painful reality of ghosting.

And when you’re dealing with someone with narcissistic traits, ghosting is incredibly common. It’s not love. It’s not connection.
It’s triangulation — a cycle of validation and withdrawal used to keep you off-balance.

Here’s the truth you need to hear:

✨ It’s not your fault.
✨ You didn’t do anything wrong.
✨ You weren’t “too much.”
✨ You were simply no longer needed for their supply.

But that says everything about them…
and absolutely nothing about your worth.

Please don’t let ghosting erode your self-esteem.
You are not alone — and you are not to blame.

You feel deeply because you are an empath.
And that is not a weakness.
It is your superpower. 🌿

Keep being you.
You are special.
You are amazing.
You will heal — and you will rise stronger.

And remember this:
If you were replaced…
the cycle always repeats.
You didn’t lose anything —
you escaped with grace.
