About Us
We are a newly formed branch, affiliated to the North of Ireland Family History Society. If you and your family have roots in South Tyrone (regardless of where you live) we can assist you to research your family history. We have access to a variety of useful resources at our branch headquarters in the Killymaddy Centre, just off the main A4 between Dungannon and Ballygawley.
We meet once a month to hold workshops and genealogical sessions which will show you how to begin your research, where to look and how to interpret available information. We plan to build a team of trained genealogists who will also be available to help you with your research.
We share our premises with Killeeshil Clonaneese Historical Society. They can assist by providing background historical information which will provide the context in which your ancestors lived and migrated.
