This was a humbling and beautiful afternoon shared with inspirational and empowering women 🌻
✨ Hope is growing in Inishowen!
On March 20th, we came together to celebrate our newest group of Hope Ambassadors — graduates of the 6 week Hopeful Minds programme at the Carrowmenagh Centre . Their celebration in McGrory's Hotel Culdaff marked another step in building a community where wellbeing and resilience take Centre stage.
We were joined by the two community facilitators and the co-founder of Resilio Hope Matters Marie Dunne and the Hope Ambassador Mandy Chisholm. The message is very clear there is ‘'no health without mental health'’ and it needs to be the corner stone for all that we do.
Hopeful Minds is a hope-based programme with a focus for participants on hope, well-being, resilience, and adaptive coping skills. Alongside Resilio we want to grow hope at individual, community, and organisation level.
Special thanks to our 12 graduates, their community facilitators of hope and our hosts in the Carrowmenagh Centre. A huge thanks to the Team in Donegal County Council for all their support and co-funding.
This is part of the two-year programme, Inclusion Not Isolation, which is being delivered by Inishowen Development Partnership (IDP). The project is funded by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body - SEUPB through Donegal County Council , and forms part of Donegal’s Local Community Action Plan.
