A day in the kitchen soothes my nerves and my soul! πŸŒΆπŸ§„πŸ§…πŸ‹πŸŽπŸ₯¬πŸ”ͺπŸ₯’πŸ«—
I made OXYMEL: organic blackstrap molasses, maple syrup, organic apple cider vinegar, onion, garlic, fresh ginger, chilli, homegrown fresh thyme. Blackstrap molasses is delicious and loaded with iron, calcium, magnesium and potassium. Oxymel is a great, supportive and soothing medicine when you feel a cough or cold coming on. These remedies don't 'fix' the problem, they support the body's natural healing processes.

SAUERKRAUTS:
Plain sweetheart cabbages and garlic kraut

Festive kraut with red cabbage, apple, dried cranberries, fresh ginger, orange and cinnamon.

Wasabi kraut: wasabi powder from Clearspring UK (the best, pure wasabi to be found), ginger, spring onions, wakame seaweed and garlic.

Kraut with beetroot, apple, sweetheart cabbages, garlic and fresh dill.

Sauerkraut is great for gut health, and a healthy gut is good for the whole body, even the brain! Plus it tastes delicious!

Healthy dinner for one: basmati rice, peri peri soya pieces from lidl, red onion, red pepper, lots of garlic and organic spinach.
Lots of wholefood plant diversity points here!

My Story

I started studying Mindfulness 25 years ago, based on the teachings of Zen master, Thich Nhat Hanh. Yoga became a part of my life about five years after discovering Mindfulness. Although I have been teaching Hatha Yoga for about ten years, my own practice has included a lot of Iyengar yoga and I have experimented with most other styles at various points.

Mindfulness and Yoga have changed my life. They have helped me manage mental health difficulties such as depression, social anxiety, burnout, and generalised anxiety. My day job for over twenty years has been in domestic abuse, supporting survivors in a variety of roles, but mostly through facilitating psycho-educational, therapeutic, group work programmes.

In 2015 I qualified in Integrative Hypnotherapy , through training completed with the complementary therapy department at the Christie Hospital in Manchester.

My qualifications are:
