Hello, thank you for looking at my Page. I am a qualified Reflexologist Practitioner and a Member of The Association of Reflexologists' who are the biggest Awarding Body for Reflexologists in Britain. As a member of this Association you have to do continual personal development every year, so I am constantly learning new techniques within the Reflexology Field.
I first got into Reflexology when I was living abroad. After seeing my doctor in Britain and not seeming to get anywhere with the symptoms I was having, and having the sense that there was nothing the doctors could do and still feeling out of sorts I decided to try a more holistic approach. Having received reflexology and realising the benefits from my first treatment, I was advised by my Reflexologist to talk to my doctor, reluctantly I did, and to my astonishment they actually listened to me and the fact that my Reflexologist had referred me. After some medical tests I found out that I had Endometriosis. This was the start of my Journey. I continued with reflexology whilst living abroad, and continued when I came back to the UK as the benefits were amazing. After my first child was born my current Reflexologist of 21 years, suggested that I trained in Reflexology. So I did and I have never looked back.
I qualified in 2003 and had a small but lovely practice from home. In 2008 I was diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress due to a Trauma of Historic Sexual Abuse which arose in October 2008. The brain is a complicated machine, it protects you when it needs to storing these memories until you are at a time in your life when you are able to deal with them. Unfortunately I had to give up practicing as a Reflexologist as it was all I could do to cope on a daily basis with 2 young children.
My journey continued for several years and with the help of a Counselling and Psychologist by 2017 I was able to pick up the baton again and refresh myself as a Reflexologist. Since then I have not looked back. I have trained again in Maternity Reflexology, and have covered other skills Advanced Facial Reflexology, Baby & Toddler Reflexology, Reflexology Lymphatic Drainage, Cancer & Palliative Reflexology, Functional Reflexology Therapy.
