Today we celebrated Victory in Europe Day through reminiscing, singing songs by Vera Lynn, sharing memories from the past, and enjoying a few quiz questions together. I also created special handmade cards for our lovely residents — my way of connecting my love for art with my passion for supporting others, giving them something personal they can keep and remember. Seeing the joy and connection this brought made the day incredibly special. Today also felt very personal to me. My grandad fought for Poland during the war and was sent in the first wave to check for bombs so the rest of the army could follow safely. He survived the war. My great grandad did not survive camps. Listening to the lyrics of those wartime songs reminds you how devastating those times truly were, and how important it still is to fight for freedom, peace, health, and a cleaner, kinder world for future generations. Today at the open day at one of homes, I had the pleasure of singing right after Hertfordshire’s MP, Victoria, gave her speech. She spoke with residents, answered all their questions, and came across as such a down-to-earth and genuinely lovely person.

I also brought my guitar with me today – I tried it out and they absolutely loved it! It’s definitely going to be an addition to my sessions from now on.

I had a great time, and it just goes to show that in this job, you never really know what your day is going to look like.

Just another day full of dancing, smiles, and laughter. It’s so meaningful to me that I can come and make a difference just by being myself—I absolutely love it. Just a music-loving dancing lady 💃, putting smiles on so many faces.

We’ve been doing lots of dance sessions recently, and it’s been so lovely to see everyone joining in 💃

This was from a recent visit to a care home over the Easter holidays. It was my first time there, so I didn’t quite know what to expect… but after just two songs, I had my first resident up dancing! A couple more songs in, more people joined, and by the final songs, families and staff were all dancing and singing along with me 😁

Moments like this are so special — bringing people together, building confidence, and just having fun.

A little message from the home afterwards:
“Thank you for coming and entertaining the residents and everyone. Families have sent me messages saying they enjoyed it a lot. We look forward to seeing you again.”

So grateful for such a warm welcome 💛

What a day! It started with a beautiful birthday party for a special girl I visit regularly—we had such a lovely time with a singalong and a dance session. Right after that, I headed off to host a Bridgerton-themed ball!

The venue was stunning and filled with so many smiles. Everyone absolutely loved the music and the vibes. Also, the tea and cake buffet was easily one of the best I’ve ever seen—honestly better than a 5-star hotel! If you’d love an experience like this, please get in touch. I’m taking bookings now!

I had a wonderful time doing my usual set — I even got the biggest cuddle from one of the families, just for sharing good energy and a fun dance. We learned a few dance steps and had a great laugh — I love it!

The only feedback I received today was that the session felt too short. I always try to stay as long as I can, but I’m going to look into offering 2-hour bookings. That way, alongside singalongs and dancing, I can also offer a bit of companionship, as everyone loves sharing their stories with me.
