Over the past few weeks you will have been made aware that Croft house is now under new ownership and so it is time to say goodbye to our much loved page.

I would like to take a moment on behalf of us all at Croft House both residents and staff to thankyou for your likes, comments and continued support in all that we do.

The resident have been feeling crafty over the last few days they have enjoyed making paper mache crafts and doing some blossom tree canvasโ€™sโ€ฆ. It really has been a team effortโค๏ธ

These activities not only provide an opportunity for the residents to mix units and socialise but also an opportunity to participate in something that is sensory stimulating.

Today we have kept up with tradition and celebrated pancake day here at Croft house. The residents enjoyed getting stuck in and making the pancake mix to send back to the kitchen for Tracy to cook to perfection. With a selection of toppings available the residents then got to building their own delicious topped pancakes each to their individual tastes.

By the time I got round to taking some pictures most of the residents had already ate theirs ๐Ÿ˜‹

๐ŸThe year of the snake has officially begun ๐Ÿ

This week within Croft House the residents have participated in different activities to celebrate.

Chinese New Year is not something many of the residents have celebrated in the past. The residents were interested in finding out the reasoning behind the celebration. After doing some armchair travel around China the residents said they had a better insight into the culture.

The residents started if by making some lanterns with a range of different materials they were able to personalise them. The lanterns symbolise people letting go of the past year and welcoming the new year with good fortune.

The resident enjoyed trying Mochi balls a sweet Chinese dessert. This activity not only provided a tasty treat but also encouraged social interaction, creativity, and a touch of mystery.

To finish of the Chinese New Year celebrations the residents sat down to a Chinese style tea.

Over the last few days we have been keeping eye out the windows to see what birds stop by and to complete our count for the big garden birdwatch 2025.

Today the residents have also enjoyed creating their own bird feeder fat balls to replenish our bird feeder stations and hopefully attract more birds to our garden. We have spent time looking at the different kinds of birds and colouring our own too ready to go into our bird Scrap book!

To finish off the residents spent time relaxing with a cuppa and a snack whilst watching a documentary about birds and their habitat. Thereโ€™s just something so relaxing about listening to the birds ๐Ÿฆ

We are ready for the big garden bird watch and are look forward to see what comes and visits us๐ŸฆThankyou to Countryside...
