On Friday, we had a special celebration as Kate Culverhouse, our Community Relations Manager, unveiled the new branded Banks Homes electric van—on her birthday, no less! 🎉

Kate shared her thoughts, saying, "So proud to support Horticap and their electric van. The students are so excited with their new vehicle and can’t wait to get out to work in it around Harrogate and beyond."

Safety Milestone Achieved!

Our Mining team has reached 2 years with no lost time for injury—an outstanding achievement that demonstrates their commitment to health, safety, and teamwork.

☀️ Last Friday, with the temperature reaching 30°C, our hardworking mining team were treated to classic 99s with a Flake from 𝖳𝗁𝖾 𝖭𝖾𝗐𝖺𝗋𝗄 𝖨𝖼𝖾 𝖢𝗋𝖾𝖺𝗆 𝖵𝖺𝗇 a well-deserved break and a great way to say thank you for their efforts in the heat. 🍦

And with National Ice Cream Month in full swing, the timing couldn’t have been sweeter!

A big thank you to our fantastic team for all their hard work.

🌟 Mandy Did It! 50K Ultra Challenge Complete 🌟

We’re so proud to share that our amazing colleague, Mandy Armstrong, successfully completed the 50K Lake District Ultra Challenge last month in memory of her dad, Billy, and in support of the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

Here’s what Mandy had to say after crossing the finish line:

“I’m not going to lie – it was tough at times! But knowing so many of you had supported me, and that I was doing this to make my dad proud, kept me going. I’m feeling incredibly proud to have achieved this challenge.”

Thanks to your incredible generosity, Mandy has now raised a fantastic £1,045 for the MNDA.

Banks Group Supporting Women’s Sport and Cancer Awareness

We’re proud to stand alongside Durham Cricket Women and CoppaFeel! in raising awareness of breast cancer—a cause that affects so many families across our communities.

While we may not be directly involved in the match-day activities, Banks Group recently had the privilege of welcoming Andrea from P*P Cancer Awareness County Durham into our offices as part of our Better Health at Work initiative. They delivered a powerful and eye-opening talk to our team, covering the importance of early detection of breast cancer.

Recognising that cancer awareness is vital for everyone, especially in male-dominated workplaces, the session also included vital information on testicular cancer—helping to start meaningful conversations across all teams.

We believe that supporting health and wellbeing in the workplace is just as important as supporting local sport and community events. By raising awareness and educating our staff, we hope to contribute to early diagnosis and better outcomes for all.

We’re excited to see Durham Cricket Women take to the field in their bespoke Banks Homes shirts, supporting CoppaFeel! and inspiring women in sport across the region.
