This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong purchase ledger experience and confidence working in a busy finance environment. COINS system experience is highly desirable.

Banks Property has completed the sale of the former Clydesdale Steelworks site in Bellshill to Miller Homes, paving the way for a new 432-home residential community.

The development will include a mix of house types, landscaped public spaces, play areas, and new access junctions, alongside a £900,000 contribution to local education.

Following unanimous approval from North Lanarkshire Council, Banks Property looks forward to seeing this sustainable, vibrant community take shape.

Hunmanby residents view proposed new housing development

Banks Property has hosted a community consultation event to introduce proposals for a new residential development in Hunmanby, North Yorkshire.

The plans outline up to 125 new homes on land to the west of Muston Road, including 15% affordable housing, new areas of public open space, green corridors and a minimum 10% biodiversity net gain. A mix of home types is proposed to help meet local housing needs.

Feedback from local residents will now be used to help inform a planning application to North Yorkshire Council, which is expected to be submitted in the new year. Subject to approval, construction could begin in spring 2028.

We’re inviting former colleagues and partners to join us for a special Stories From Tow Law event as we prepare for our 50th anniversary in 2026.

Tow Law Community Centre, Thursday 27 November From 11am

Tow Law is where our journey began in 1976, and we’re gathering memories from those who worked for – or alongside – the business in those early days. Our community team will be on hand to capture stories on paper, audio and video, with tea, coffee and cakes for everyone who drops in.

These memories will help shape a wider history project celebrating five decades of growth, diversification and community investment.

We’re proud of our roots in Tow Law, from supporting the creation of the community centre in the 1980s to working with local groups for nearly 50 years.

If you’re a former employee or collaborator from our Tow Law era, we’d love to see you there and hear your stories.
