Our office teams took a well-earned break to enjoy some ice cream courtesy of our amazing HR team, while those opting for a lighter refreshment tucked into fresh fruit instead. A small way to stay cool and make the most of a beautiful spring day.

It’s an exciting time to join Banks Homes, part of the respected The Banks Group. As a family-owned business celebrating 50 years in 2026, we’re proud to create thoughtfully designed homes and sustainable communities across the North East and Yorkshire.

🌱 This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team committed to quality, sustainability and community.

As a Labourer, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operation of our construction sites. From opening and securing the site each day to maintaining high standards of tidiness, safety and presentation, you’ll help ensure our developments operate efficiently and to the highest standards.

Your responsibilities will include:
🔑 Opening and closing the site each day
🏗️ Managing plot keys and site access
🦺 Maintaining health, safety and site cleanliness
♻️ Ensuring waste is segregated and recycled appropriately
🌿 Keeping plots, show home gardens and public spaces well presented

We’re looking for someone with previous site experience, a proactive approach, strong health and safety awareness, and a valid CSCS card.

We are seeking a professional and highly organised Front of House Receptionist to join our Head Office on a 12-month fixed-term basis.

Acting as the first point of contact for the business, you will deliver an efficient and high-quality reception and administrative service, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the front-of-house function. Responsibilities include managing visitor and telephone enquiries, coordinating meetings and travel, overseeing office facilities, and providing administrative support across the wider business.

The ideal candidate will have previous reception or administrative experience, strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Tow Law is where our journey began. Our first office, our first projects, and the foundations of everything we’ve built since. To mark 50 years, we invited some of the people who were there at the very beginning to share their memories and reflections.

And the cherry on top? Having Our Chairman Harry there to be part of it all 🍒😉

It was a brilliant evening bringing everyone together. Great food, an amazing band and plenty of fun captured on the 360° camera.

Highlights included hearing directly from our Chairman Harry about his remarkable career journey that led to the creation of Banks Group, a true inspiration 👏

Banks Group is supporting Playful Paths – a series of free outdoor events encouraging families and residents to explore the green spaces around The Story in Durham.

Led by local artist Nocciola The Drawer, the sessions will combine nature, creativity and adventure, with interactive trails and activities designed to spark ideas for the future of the space.
