👶🏻 You may think there’s not much point going to a class with a newborn but there’s actually lots of benefits to coming to a baby class early!

🥰 The youngest baby I’ve had in my classes has been 3 weeks old.

FOR BABY
👶🏻 Our Baby Moo classes are specifically planned for babies that are not yet walking confidently.

✨ This class is calm and gentle. We use themed props, puppets, lights, canopies, parachutes, tummy time activities, multi sensory elements, bubbles and much more.

😴 Even if your little one sleeps through the whole class, the music will still stimulate their brain and you may get to learn new ways to play with your baby, meet other parents or simply take a moment to zone out in the company of fellow Mombies (sleep-deprived, mam-zombies).

FOR YOU
🗣️ It can be very daunting and lonely in those early weeks, especially if you have no daytime support. Going to a baby class may provide opportunities to socialise with other adults in class.

🥰 Baby classes may help you to bond with your baby (and no, it doesn’t happen straight away for everyone and this is NORMAL). If this is your first child, joining a baby class may help you to build confidence and the comradery with others may help to reduce your anxieties about being a new parent.

🤩🧒 POST-PANDEMIC TODDLER CONFIDENCE 🧒🤩

A lot of our 'covid babies' are finding new situations and social settings quite daunting.

✨ While many little ones have already started adapting to ‘normal life’, for some of the children I see, the pandemic is still affecting their ability to cope with new places, people and settings.

✨ I just want to give any parents or carers out there who are finding their little one is still ‘shy’, ‘clingy’ or ‘unsettled’ that this is really common and the best thing is to approach new classes and social settings with patience, love, cuddles and support.

✨ Give them a little time to watch, listen and soak it all in. They will start to feel more secure in the situation, build confidence and eventually join in.

🤩 Some of my toddlers were incredibly clingy and nervous when starting my classes but have come on leaps and bounds since and I’m SO proud of them 🥰 All that was needed was persistent patience from us and their loved ones.

🎶 Our Mixed Moo and Mini Moo classes take place every Monday at Croxdale, Tuesday at Bowburn and Friday at Sacriston and Meadowfield!

I had my very last baby massage today, feeling sad that my journey has come to an end 😭 I have decided to close Little Legz baby massage as struggling to fill classes. I understand its a difficult time for families at the moment and have to prioritise finances, and this is something I am having to do myself hence my decision to close.

I have met some amazing families and am proud that over the last 3 and a half years I have provided the opportunity for loving touch between parents and babies and know I have made a difference in their journey of parenthood and well being 😍

Some of you have asked about the Mini Moo session I’ve added to Croxdale for our new term. It’s a new addition so I’ll pop some information about who each of our classes are most suitable for below.

👶🏻 Baby Moo is suitable from around 6 weeks until little ones are beginning to walk.

👧👦 Mini Moo is best for little ones that are walking - 4 years.

✨ Mixed Moo is suitable from 0-4years. It’s great for siblings of different ages and friends that have children that are different ages but want to attend the same class.

🤩 We have spaces available on our Mini Moo session at Croxdale for new term starting Monday 27th Feb!
Mini Moo will be coming to Bowburn soon! 💜

I am a fully qualified CIMI (certified infant massage instructor) as of 6th November 2019

👶🏻 Classes are suitable for all parents and all babies from birth up to one year old. Only the parents will massage the baby as instructors will always demonstrate the strokes on a doll!

Perfect chill out time 💤 for you and your little one! 👩🏻👱🏻‍♂️👶🏻 £50 for the whole course which is 5, 1 hour sessions a week.

👀 Babies are born with poor vision and muscle tone around the eyes. In the first 3 months of life, you can develop your little one’s eyesight by slowly moving things across their field of vision, from side to side, up and down and in circular movements.

✋👁️ Eye control is a fine motor skill and forms the building blocks for hand-eye coordination so a crucial skill to build!

🤩 SENSORY TIME AT HOME 🤩

Sometimes you may miss your favourite baby (Moo) class, but you don't have to miss out on the fun and helping your little one's development.

Your home has a rich abundance of sensory experiences for your little one.

🥄WOODEN SPOON AND METAL PAN/TRAYS
It's a well worn cliché but it works! Baby develops gross and fine motor skills, learns about cause and effect, and has some interesting textures to explore - and they just LOVE chewing on wooden spoons!

🖐TIN FOIL
Don't underestimate this humble material. The shiny foil reflects colours and creates high contrast visuals when crinkled, helping baby to focus their vision and build those important eye muscles.

The sounds it makes when scrunched helps them understand cause and effect. Gross motor development is enhanced as they grab and throw it around, swish their feet on it and they progress into fine motor skills as they pick small pieces off (keep an eye out for putting these bits in mouths)

And when you're finished, it can become a large ball to play with (if they don't squash it too much).

🎨 EDIBLE PAINT (yoghurt & food colouring)
Easily the messiest thing in the world, but the developmental experience your little one gains from this activity is priceless. Discovery of textures, temperatures and new flavours are key areas of development with this activity.

Make sure your protect fabrics and surfaces from stains - you can buy a shower curtain for a few pounds specifically for messy play at home.
