Marie was kind enough to try out a Functional Integration session, the hands-on side of Feldenkrais and this is what she had to say afterwards.

In her pyjamas. At bedtime. From under the covers.

It was a free taster but she received no further endorsements 😄

So often we wait until things are really bad before we seek support. But what if we didn’t have to? What if regular movement could help us feel optimised, able to thrive feeling like a brand new human? ✨

What is intelligent movement? 🧠✨

In my upcoming 5 week course, we use awareness to first understand how we move. Borrowing small, slow movements from the Feldenkrais method we allow the nervous system to settle, letting ourselves fully ‘land’ in the body. Then we find what it’s like to move from a place of ease.
Not through force, or performance or musts or shoulds.

By slowing down we begin to know what we are doing.
How we are using ourselves.
Carefully…?
Bluntly…?
Gracefully…?
Angrily…?

Only then can we consciously move in ways that we want.

If you’ve ever felt yoga too ambitious or your body too “stiff”, this is a space for you. No pressure, just a small welcoming group

I am buzzing after my first Sunday Slow Down: Somatic Yoga class at PureGym Arnison Centre! ✨

What a lovely bunch of people, all game to slow it down and turn inward instead of striving to ‘achieve.’ It’s no easy task in the pace we live at, and being truly with yourself can be the ultimate challenge.
