It seems the universe doesn't want Temperance to open this week, with our lovely Ash not feeling well yesterday and now my beloved cat, Leo is coming very close to the end of his life here, so I will be staying at home to nurse him as he gets ready to pass into spirit.

Leo is elderly at the grand age of 18 years and although he has been a really healthy cat, this past 6 months has seen him decline with what is likely lymphoma. The vet didn't want to do any invasive tests to confirm this but it seems pretty clear. I was so relieved that the vet supported him having palliative care at home and didn't suggest euthsnasia. He is being kept comfortable and cared for so he can pass away naturally.

He's been a VERY special cat ❣️ and deserves all the cuddles today and until he is ready to go.

A blessed 2026 to all of your reading this 💫

I'm hoping to find the right balance between gentle and bold this calendar year.

2025 was poignant, exhausting, precious and humbling. A huge thank you to everyone who has valued, supported and appreciated me this year. An extra shout out to Durham Markets for being so understanding.

Professionally, I have really enjoyed teaching increasing numbers of people to read tarot themselves, and coaching others in the psychospiritual arts. I'm also proud to have started a small women's group that grows witchier and witchier as we bond in our safe and supportive circle 🙏

My soul yearns for an increase in the cultivation of sacred art and poetry, this is something I will be focusing on as 2026 unfolds... Including, but certainly not limited to, visual art pieces and poetry based on tarot. Commissions will likely become available soon... although I already have 12 works planned so there may be a bit of a wait for larger pieces.

Temperance will be closed this Wednesday as I am heading to Newcastle to drop off some of my late Dad's artwork which is being displayed at Ouseburn Bottleworks, as part of The Witching Hour exhibition.

I am filled with joy that this is happening! The exhibition sounds so interesting and I am very proud of my Dad for finally being exhibited. He was not one to "blow his own trumpet" so I took the reins on this one and submitted his work, and he was selected. I only wish he could have come with us to the exhibition, but I'm sure he'll be there in spirit 🙏

Details below because I'm sure some of you will be as intrigued as I am about what this exhibition is offering ❤️
