Unfortunately our van was involved in an accident this morning meaning it is currently off the road.

We are getting a van from another store this afternoon but this will be for housebound patients and urgent deliveries only.

If you were expecting a delivery today please call the pharmacy and if anyone is able to collect for any elderly family members that would be great.

This is obviously going to have a knock on effect going into next week too so please bare with us.

To all our Patients and Customers..

This coming Thursday 20th June Bowburn Pharmacy staff are participating in a day of action to highlight the current struggles and pressures Community Pharmacies across the country are facing.

We are chronically underfunded and right now ten pharmacies are closing their doors for good EACH WEEK.

We must support this to try our best to fight for a secure future, to stay open, to continue to provide the services and care to you . Never in history has it been so threatened.

We are letting you know we are holding two hours to highlight this campaign, at the pharmacy on the morning of the 20th June.

We hope to have your support and will be collecting signatures for a petition to demonstrate the strength of feeling, to show how vitally important it is that we are able to carry on providing care to our local community.

Please join us to support not only your local pharmacy but those everywhere in the country working hard to ensure safe care and consistent supplies to you, our valued patients.

Community pharmacies are going through the worst crisis in living memory.

1,400 community pharmacies have closed in the last decade.
10 pharmacies are closing a week, and three quarters of pharmacies are in the red.

We’re asking you to back the campaign to help keep pharmacies open.

When you come into the pharmacy please ask to sign the petition- we would like as many signatures as possible…

Community Pharmacies are a life-line for many of my constituents, but are struggling to survive financially.

I have written to the Health Secretary calling on him to fund them properly, and ensure that they are able to continue offering their vital services.

‼️ DELIVERY UPDATE ‼️

Unfortunately the van has finally given up on us, therefore until we source a replacement our delivery service will be limited to a couple of hours of an afternoon.

If anyone can pop into the pharmacy to collect their prescriptions to reduce the load we would really appreciate it.

We hope to have our full delivery service back up and running as soon as possible.
