Flu circulation is still very high. We have limited stock of flu vaccines remaining.

If you’re eligible for an nhs vaccine please get in touch to secure your dose.

We can also provide vaccines privately for those who are not eligible for a free nhs vaccine.

Health officials in Kent and Surrey have become the latest to declare critical incidents, after last week saw NHS hospital trusts in Birmingham, Staffordshire and parts of Wales also admit they were under immense pressure.

Please ensure you order and collect any medication required for the festive period in plenty of time.

Allow 48 working hours for repeat prescriptions to be sent from your gp surgery and a further 24 working hours for us to dispense your prescription.

You may wish to take advantage of our free text messaging service where we will send you a text message when your prescription is ready to collect-call the pharmacy on 0191 3720767 to arrange.

The winter Covid and Flu vaccination campaign is due to begin on the 1st of October.

You can get a Covid vaccine if you:

💉Are aged 75 or over (including those who will be 75 by 17th June 2025)

💉Are aged 6 months to 74 years and have a weakened immune system because of certain health conditions or treatments.

💉Live in a care home for older adults.

Patients can pre book their appointment from today either online at https://www.nhs.uk/nhs-services/vaccination-and-booking-services/book-covid-19-vaccination/ or by ringing 📞119.

Sherburn village pharmacy will only be offering appointments for those over the age of 18.

Please note appointments must be booked via one of these routes and cannot be booked directly with the pharmacy.
