πŸ’š The merger of services under Adult Wellbeing Services is an exciting time for Macmillan Joining the Dots County Durham. This opens more avenues for partnership work across the area and will bring more recognition and spotlight to both Joining the Dots and other services which currently do not have the visibility.

All Joining the Dots posts – and any other content relating to this service – will still be branded as Joining the Dots. This makes sure that the service is recognisable and stands out, shining light on the support that we offer across County Durham so that the message reaches those who need it.

We are a dedicated service with a focus on continuing the vital work we deliver for those directly affected by a cancer diagnosis. With this wonderful new opportunity, we can reach more people while still operating in the same way for existing service users.

Please see below an example of the coming posts to look out for.

πŸ’š Feel more like yourself again.

HOPE is here to allow people after cancer treatment to support each other and learn skills to cope with anxiety, fatigue, and concerns for the future. It is a course developed Macmillan Cancer Support and Coventry University and hosted by a health and social care professional.

What is HOPE designed to do? It helps you:

- rebuild your confidence and sense of self
- learn relaxation techniques for both mind and body
- navigate emotions like anger, anxiety, and uncertainty
- handle stressful situations with resilience

The next course is Wednesday 10 September to Wednesday 15 October at St Cuthbert’s Hospice Living Well Centre in Durham.

Find out more about HOPE and how to reserve your place here: www.yourwellbeingservices.uk/whats-on/find-hope-here-3/
