Try our infrared sauna 🧖🏾‍♀️

Infrared saunas use light to heat the body directly at lower temperatures than traditional saunas, offering benefits like improved circulation, deeper relaxation, enhanced muscle recovery, and detoxification. Regular sessions (20-45 minutes) can reduce stress, alleviate joint pain, improve skin health, and boost cardiovascular function.

Key benefits of infrared saunas include:
Cardiovascular Health: Promotes blood vessel dilation and increases heart rate, similar to moderate exercise, which can help lower blood pressure and improve circulation.

Muscle Recovery and Pain Relief: Deep heat penetrates muscles and joints, reducing stiffness, chronic pain, and muscle soreness after exercise.

Detoxification: Encourages deep sweating that may help flush toxins and heavy metals from the body.

Skin Rejuvenation: Increases circulation and collagen production, aiding in skin elasticity, tone, and the reduction of acne or eczema.

Stress Reduction and Sleep: Promotes relaxation, reduces cortisol levels, and can help improve sleep quality.

Energy Efficient: They operate at lower temperatures (typically 49°C-60°C) than traditional saunas, making them more comfortable for some users.

It is recommended to hydrate before and after, with 2-3 sessions per week for optimal results. While generally safe, those who are pregnant or have specific heart conditions should consult a doctor.

Try our chill tub 🧊

Chill Tubs ice baths provide rapid, cold-water immersion that reduces muscle soreness, decreases inflammation, and accelerates physical recovery for athletes.

The cold therapy improves circulation, boosts immune function, increases energy levels, and enhances mental focus by stimulating the release of endorphins.

Key benefits of using a Chill Tub include:

Physical Recovery & Pain Relief: The numbing effect of cold water alleviates muscle pain and fatigue, while reducing inflammation associated with intense training.

Improved Circulation:

The constriction and dilation of blood vessels during and after a plunge helps boost blood flow, promoting faster tissue repair.

Mental Health & Alertness:

Cold plunging acts as a mental reset, promoting feelings of happiness and stress reduction through endorphin release.
Improved Sleep & Immunity: Regular use can increase melatonin levels for better sleep and stimulate white blood cell production to boost the immune system.

Skin & Metabolism:

Cold water therapy can help with skin exfoliation, reduce inflammation in skin conditions, and provide a small metabolic boost.
It is recommended to use the tub regularly for maximum benefits, such as improved resilience to stress.

New to Floating?

If floating has caught your interest, the best thing you can do is simply try it. We’re open six days a week, and we genuinely enjoy introducing people to floating and helping them feel at ease.

Floating is safe, clean, and designed to help you fully relax. You’re always in control of your experience, and once outside distractions fade away, many people discover a deep sense of calm and stress relief. For your first float, we recommend coming in with no expectations—just relax and enjoy the time.

To experience the full, long-term benefits, we suggest booking three sessions initially, spaced fairly close together. Floating works best when the benefits build over time.

Below are some of the most common questions we’re asked.

Is there anything I should do to prepare?

There’s nothing complicated to prepare. We recommend avoiding caffeine for at least four hours before your session, as it can make relaxation more difficult. It’s also best not to shave or wax right beforehand, as the salt water may irritate sensitive skin.

Eating a light meal one to 90 minutes before your float is ideal. Other than that, there’s nothing else you need to do.

Do I need to bring anything?

Very little. If you have long hair, you may want to bring a comb. If you wear contact lenses, please bring a case so you can remove them before floating.

We provide towels, earplugs, body wash, shampoo, and hair dryers.

What if I’m claustrophobic?

This is a common concern, but most people find it isn’t an issue. Floating feels more like drifting in open space than being enclosed.

You remain in full control throughout the session and can leave the pod door open if that helps you feel more comfortable. Even guests who describe themselves as claustrophobic often find the experience surprisingly relaxing.

Can more than one person float at a time?

Each float session is for one person only. We have a single pod, ensuring your experience is completely private and uninterrupted.

Do I have my own private room?

Yes. You’ll have a private room with your own float pod and shower to use before and after your session.

Most guests choose not to wear a swimsuit, as fabric can interfere with the weightless sensation, but this is entirely your choice.

Will my skin wrinkle like it does in the bath?

No. The Epsom salt in the water actually leaves your skin feeling soft and smooth.

Can I float if I’m pregnant?

Yes, many pregnant guests find floating especially beneficial. There is a floating position that relieves pressure and supports the body comfortably.

If you are in your third trimester or have any concerns, we recommend consulting your healthcare provider before your session.

What if I fall asleep during my float?

Some people do fall asleep, and that’s completely safe. The water is highly buoyant, so you will remain floating at all times.

Do I have to stay in for the full session?

You’re free to leave the pod at any point. That said, most people find the 60-minute session passes very quickly once they’re relaxed.

How do you clean the pod?

Cleanliness is a top priority. After each session, the water goes through multiple filtration cycles, and the high salt content naturally prevents bacteria growth.

We also use UV light and non-toxic disinfectants, making the water exceptionally clean.

Is floating just new-age mumbo jumbo?

Not at all. Floating has been around for over 60 years and is supported by extensive research. It’s a proven method for deep relaxation and stress relief.

Our floatation isopod is back up and running and we are now taking bookings! It is £1 per minute (30 minute minimum per session)

Float tank benefits include deep relaxation, significant stress & anxiety reduction, chronic pain relief (fibromyalgia, arthritis), faster athletic recovery (muscle tension, inflammation), improved sleep, enhanced creativity, better focus, and lower blood pressure by depriving the brain of external stimuli, allowing for mental and physical rejuvenation.

The Epsom salt water creates buoyancy, relieving pressure on joints, while the isolation promotes endorphin release and reduces cortisol (stress hormone).

Mental & Emotional Benefits
Stress & Anxiety Relief: Reduces cortisol, promotes calm, and helps reset the mind.

Improved Sleep: Helps regulate sleep patterns, leading to deeper, more restorative rest.
Enhanced Focus & Creativity: Provides mental clarity and can boost productivity.

Mood Enhancement: Increases endorphin production and can alleviate symptoms of depression.

Physical Benefits
Pain Relief: Buoyancy minimizes pressure, easing chronic pain, arthritis, migraines, and muscle tension.

Muscle Recovery: Speeds up recovery from exercise and injury by reducing inflammation and lactic acid.

Better Circulation: Promotes healthy blood flow and oxygenation.

Pregnancy Relief: Offers weightless relief from backaches and sore ankles.
How it Works

Sensory Deprivation: Floating in skin-temperature salt water eliminates light, sound, and gravity, allowing the body and mind to relax completely.

Epsom Salt: High magnesium content helps muscles relax and can aid in detoxification.

The Many Benefits of Floatation Therapy:

Floatation tanks offer benefits like deep relaxation, stress/anxiety reduction, and pain relief by creating a sensory-deprived, zero-gravity environment, helping with muscle recovery, sleep, focus, and mental clarity for athletes and those seeking wellness. The Epsom salt water relieves pressure, lowers cortisol, and promotes magnesium absorption, aiding physical and mental recovery, while the darkness and silence enhance meditation, creativity, and introspection.

Sauna benefits:

improved cardiovascular health, reduced stress, muscle pain relief, and detoxification through sweating, with studies suggesting regular use lowers risks for heart disease, dementia, and stroke, plus enhances recovery and skin health by boosting circulation and opening pores. The heat mimics exercise, improving heart function and cellular repair, making it a valuable practice for overall physical and mental well-being, but always check with a doctor first.

Ice bath benefits:

Ice baths offer benefits like faster muscle recovery by reducing inflammation, boosting mood and alertness through endorphin release, and potentially improving resilience to stress by training the vagus nerve, with some evidence suggesting immune and cardiovascular benefits, but more research is needed, and there are risks like cold shock.
