In our job as professional dog behaviour consultants and trainers, we are regularly approached by people who have dogs with ‘issues’ or who are continually referred to by their owners as ‘a bad dog’ or ‘a naughty dog’ or ‘untrainable and or stupid’. This is only a few of the terms used by some of our previous clients, the reality is, without help, management or advice, these issues in some cases will escalate, to the point where the owners no longer like or enjoy their dog. This can lead to major relationship breakdowns, both within the family and the human/canine relationship. The effect on the dog can be immense, in milder cases, unhappy dog, progressing to the need to rehome the dog or even in the worst case, euthanasia. The reason most people get a dog in the beginning is varied, our own experience shows that the in the main, people want a dog to be an extra family member, a companion, someone to walk with/play with, for enrichment of their family lives. When things don’t quite go to plan and your dog stops or no longer meets with your ideal, then that is the time to get help. We use positive, rewarding, innovative and fun training methods, our tried and tested bond building techniques work to help you build a harmonious and enjoyable relationship with your dog. Our stay safe and understand your dog programme is currently being rolled out to schools and education establishments, local businesses and services.
