Clinic to reopen on a limited capacity on 1st of June

In light of the new government guidelines released in conjunction with the College of Podiatry, we as a team, have worked together to plan how and when to reopen the clinic.
Key details :
- The clinic will be reopening in a limited capacity from the 1st June
- We will be open 3 days a week at first
- Each appointment time will be increased from 30 minutes to 1hr so that you can arrive and leave without coming into close proximity with other patients and to allow us extra time to decontaminate the clinic and waiting area.
- To avoid as much surface contact, we ask for you to pay by card where possible.
- Our Podiatrist will be wearing the advised PPE and special measures for patient hand hygiene and other infection control procedures remain and are carried out for each individual patient.
- Current guidelines split patients into 3 categories. We are currently only able to treat those in category 1 and 2. This means we will not be able to offer any Biomechanical or Verruca and any other non-essential appointments. For more detail on which patient category you fall into please visit our website,
- Only one person will be allowed into the clinic at a time, so we ask for you to attend your appointment on your own unless this is absolutely not possible. If this is not possible, we will factor this in at the time of booking to ensure we adhere to the social distancing guidance.
- We are currently not undertaking any house visits

All measures that have been put into place are to keep both our staff and our patients safe, so thank you for your patience and understanding during this difficult time. We will strive to keep you updated if any of these plans change.

We continue to miss seeing our patients and thank you again for the support you have shown the clinic since its opening. We wish our patients and their family and friends good health and hope to see you all again in the not too distant future.

Once again I would like to thank all our patients for the support you have shown us in our 4 and a half years, it really is appreciated, and we will miss you during this time. We will make every effort to return to normal as soon as it’s safe to do so.

On behalf of Jason, John and myself, we wish you and your loved one’s good health and look forward to seeing you all in the clinic once we are open again.

Notice regarding the temporary restriction of non urgent appointments due to the coronavirus.

In order to support the NHS and the wider efforts to limit the spread of the Cornonavirus we have decided to suspend online bookings until further notice. We apologise for any disappointment or inconvenience this may cause. In these unprecedented times it is now the clinics responsibility to not just ensure that our patients who directly receive treatment are kept as safe as possible but in addition we have to take responsibility for the health and well being of the people our patients come into contact with in the wider community including family and friends. We therefore feel we must limit appointments for urgent cases for the foreseeable time frame.

APPOINTMENTS CAN BE MADE OVER THE PHONE BUT IF WE FEEL THAT YOUR APPOINTMENT IS NOT URGENT, WE ARE SORRY TO SAY YOU ARE UNLIKELY TO BE OFFERED AN APPOINTMENT AT THIS TIME. WE WILL TAKE INTO ACCOUNT YOUR HEALTH STATUS AND YOUR REASON FOR REQUIRING AN APPOINTMENT TO ASSESS RISK.

IF YOU HAVE AN URGENT FOOT RELATED PROBLEM OR CONCERN WHICH YOU MIGHT SEEK AN APPOINTMENT WITH YOUR GP IF YOUR PODIATRIST WAS UNAVAILABLE YOU WILL LIKELY BE OFFERED AN APPOINTMENT.

We take no satisfaction in limiting appointments in this way and we hope you understand our position. On behalf of the clinic I would like to thank all our patients for the support you have shown us in our 4 and a half years, we will miss you during this time. We will make every effort to return to normal as soon as its safe to do so.

If you have any questions or require any foot related advice I will do my best to help and I will be available on email info@jameshoggpodiatry.co.uk

On behalf of Jason, John and myself, we wish you and your family and friends good health and look forward to seeing you all in the clinic once again.

It may be necessary to close the clinic at any time if we are advised to by the relevant authorities and/or if any of our staff members show any symptoms of being unwell.
