Notice of Funeral Cortege – Alveston Gloucester Rd (A38) heading towards Thornbury

Tomorrow morning we will be conducting the funeral of a well-known local gentleman in Alveston.
The family home is located on the A38, where there are currently traffic barriers and cones in place. The cortege will consist of two main vehicles and will need to pause briefly to collect family members.
This may cause a short delay between approximately 10:15am and 10:20am.
We sincerely apologise for any disruption this may cause to your journey and thank you for your patience and understanding at this time.

Jean LUCAS peacefully passed away at home on 21st February 2026, aged 98 years.
Much loved Mum to Will, Wayne and Jayne, Mum-in-law to Lyn and Tracy, Nan to David, Charlotte and Ben and 'Old Nan' to Olivia.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A Service of Celebration will be held at Gloucester Crematorium on Tuesday 7th April 2026, at 2:00p.m.
Family flowers only. Donations in lieu will be shared by the R.N.L.I and Great Western Air Ambulance

Today we had the honour of conducting the funeral of Rosemarie, a much-loved Mum, Wife and Nan.

Rosemarie had a lifelong love of horses, so to create a truly personal farewell, her family chose for her to be carried in a beautiful horse-drawn carriage.

It made for a peaceful and dignified procession, and a fitting tribute to someone who meant so much to those who loved her.
