Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in Scotland. It often develops without symptoms.
There is no national screening programme. The first step is a conversation with a GP.
This , Scotland’s prostate cancer and disease charity, Prostate Scotland is encouraging to take five minutes to learn and share three facts with others:
· It’s the most common cancer in men
· It can develop without symptoms
· From age 50, men can speak to their GP about a PSA test, and higher risk men, including men with a family history (dad, brother, uncle) and Black men from age 45
Awareness spreads through conversation. Conversations can lead to earlier diagnosis. And earlier diagnosis can save lives.
