August Memories! ☀️🧡

The sunshine seemed to be endless throughout August and I loved having the opportunity to teach outdoors… even with the occasional photo bombing! 😂♥️🐾

Hopefully September is just as beautiful! 🍁🙏🏽

Pepsi wanted to say hello and to remind everyone that it’s Yoga Fit Week at the Lochgelly and Dysart classes next week! 💪🏽🏋🏻‍♀️

I know how much you all love this class, but if you had any concerns about how hard it is… then a picture of that wee face will hopefully allay any concerns! 🫣😂

So get those trainers and weights dusted off and I’ll see you all soon! 😂 🥵🧡###

If I could live a day over and over again, it would be the 13th August 2025! 🙏🏽🤗

I took a sneaky last minute holiday from work seeing as the temperatures were heading to around 27 degrees, and I didn’t want to work in the office in that heat! 😱😬

So instead I took myself, Odin and Pepsi On a long and steep hike up Dumyat, in the Ochills, followed by a much needed lunch and some sunbathing in the garden before heading to Aberdour Beach for a restorative Yin Class with my lovely Lochgelly yogis! 🧘🏻‍♀️♥️

I even took my inaugural cold water dip with some of the girls afterwards, which was a huge achievement for me, as I usually have a fear of water and can’t even swim! 🫣😂

Such an amazing day that I’d do again forever… all I need is to win the lottery and it’s achievable! 😂🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

I hung up my hot yoga shoes this weekend for some R&R at Schloss Roxburghe Hotel (which is beautiful, but way too posh for me) 🫣😬 followed by a visit to The Scottish Donkey Sanctuary to meet our 2 adopted donkeys Dougal and Francis who were so friendly and also desperate for some treats! 😍🫏
We then stumbled into the filming of Bargain Hunt at an antique and flea market in Kelso… look out for my wee cameo appearance on your telly’s soon!! 😂😂

Hi everyone, I’ve finally completed the timetables for all the August Classes! 🤗🧡

I’m forever grateful to everyone that came along to the classes in July… especially because you had even more temptations put in your way than normal…including a super hot heatwave, weekly wall to wall sunshine, garden parties and BBQ’s 😂😜 but despite all that you still turned up… and that means so much to me! 🧡🙏🏽

I’m blessed to have such an amazing yoga community of wonderful supportive women and I hope to see you again in August🧡###

I’m officially on holiday next week but I’ll still be teaching at Lochgelly on Wednesday before I head off for a few days to celebrate my wedding anniversary! 🤍🤍

As the weather heats up this week, we’ll focus on deep stretches, and a bit of relaxation to give our minds and body some nourishment… and save all our energy for you’re very favourite and super energetic yoga fit on the last week in July! 💪🏽🥵

Happy Midsummer everyone 🌞💛 I hope you all had a wonderful sunshine filled few days as we celebrate the longest day of the year and the start of summer.. my absolute favourite season! 😍🙏🏽

It was a magical week on the run up to the summer solstice, with outdoor yoga at Aberdour Beach on Wednesday and a very hot and sweaty Yin and Yoga Nidra special on Friday night 💛 (I forgot to take any photos as I was so engrossed in teaching… found this one on Google 😭🥴)

Thank you to everyone who joined me in all my classes this week, you really are the most amazing bunch of women (and men) and I’m eternally grateful! 🥰💛

MEET THE BREATHE TEAM
Today, I want to introduce you to the one and only Marissa…

Where do I even begin?
I met Marissa 8 years ago on our Yoga Teacher Training, and a it’s been a whirlwind since. Over the years, we’ve gone on to complete Yin and Vinyasa training together, and she’s become not just my soul sister in yoga, but one of my dearest friends.

At Breathe, Marissa is a much-loved teacher who brings the fire in Hot Yoga—pushing you to your edge with quiet strength—and then soothes your soul with her beautifully grounding monthly Hot Yin sessions.

She’s affectionately known as the silent/smiling Assassin by our studio community… That signature smile might lull you into thinking it’ll be a gentle stretch, but before you know it, you’re in a pose you never thought possible! Her music is always spot on—lifting the energy in the room and leaving you on a high long after class ends.

Outside the studio, Marissa teaches evening yoga in Kirkcaldy and Lochgelly, and by day she’s a powerhouse Senior Business Advisor (and a huge part of why Breathe exists—she supported me at every single step of opening the studio).

When she’s not working or teaching, she’s off on city breaks—at home or abroad—with her husband George, or out exploring on long walks with their two dogs. She’s fiercely loyal, quietly wise, and truly loved by so many.

Oh, and a fun fact I only just discovered… she can read palms! 🖐️
