Taking the First Step: It's Okay to Feel Unsure
Reaching out for help is not always easy. For many, just thinking about therapy can feel overwhelming. You might worry about what to expect, fear being judged, or feel unsure about sharing your thoughts with someone new. These feelings are completely normal — and you're not alone.
At Butterfly Counselling, we understand that the decision to seek support can bring up a lot of emotions: fear, anxiety, uncertainty. It's a big step, and it takes courage.
We want you to know — it's okay to feel apprehensive. You don’t have to have everything figured out before you reach out. Starting with a simple message or email can be the beginning of something life-changing. From there, we’ll walk alongside you at a pace that feels right for you.
Our space is safe, calm, and non-judgmental. You’ll be met with warmth, compassion, and respect — just as you are. Therapy isn’t about fixing you — because you're not broken. It's about creating space to understand yourself, be heard, and begin healing.
If you're thinking about therapy but feel unsure, that’s okay. Just know that reaching out is already a powerful act of self-care.
