Butterfly counselling provides counselling to:

Additionally, Butterfly Counselling Services has therapists who have extensive experience of working with ASD individuals and their families. The counsellors are either UKCP/BACP/BAPT accredited or are working towards accreditation. Based in Stockton-on-Tees & Middlesbrough, Butterfly Counselling Services

works with a range of issues. Butterfly Counselling Services also has a psychotherapist who specialises in EMDR. They have had advanced accredited training in EMDR.
EMDR is part of psychotherapy and is supported by clinical research and NICE guidelines within the NHS. Butterfly counselling can also take referrals from services including:

*Local Authorities

*NHS

*Businesses

Tired of pretending you’re okay?

Maybe you smile at work, show up for your family, keep life ticking over — but underneath, you’re exhausted.

Maybe you’re feeling anxious, low, irritable, numb and no one really sees it. Maybe you’ve learned to keep going, to “be strong,” to not make a fuss.

But the truth is: carrying that much on your own is hard and you don’t have to keep doing it.

Grief doesn’t follow a timeline

It can come in quiet waves or loud, unexpected moments - days, months, or even years after a loss.

Maybe you've lost someone recently. Or maybe the world moved on, but you're still carrying the weight of their absence.

Grief isn't just sadness. It can feel like exhaustion, numbness, guilt, anger, even relief — and that’s okay. Every loss is unique, and so is the way we grieve.
Counselling offers a space to talk about your loss in your own words, at your own pace — without being told to “move on” or “stay strong.” It’s a space to make sense of your feelings, find meaning, and reconnect with life in a way that honours your experience.
