💓 76 members of our team are now carrying defibrillators when they're not on shift. 💓

Less than one in ten people survive an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. It’s a shocking statistic, but one we’re determined to change.

Early CPR and defibrillation can double someone's chances of survival. That's why we've taken an important step to put more lifesaving defibrillators into the heart of our community.

📍 16 in Berkshire
📍 27 in Buckinghamshire
📍 27 in Oxfordshire
📍 6 in surrounding areas

This includes frontline crew and charity staff who have received formal training to provide bystander CPR and use the defibrillator we have provided to them.

It means that if someone collapses at home, in a park, or on the high street, help could already be close at hand. 🚨

🚑Waiting for an ambulance?

We always prioritise our crews to the most seriously ill and injured patients. If your emergency is not serious or immediately life-threatening we aim to be with you within 2-3 hours.

Please don't call back on 999 to ask for an arrival time. Only call us back if the patient's condition gets worse or you no longer need an ambulance (e.g. you're able to make your own way to hospital).

🚨 Today is in the UK, and we want to take the opportunity to celebrate the incredible emergency services who work tirelessly every day to keep our communities safe.

From paramedics and firefighters to police officers and coastguards, their dedication, courage, and quick thinking make a real difference in people’s lives.

📅 4 WEEKS TO GO until Anaphylaxis Awareness Week 2025 📅

Join us from 1st - 7th October for a week dedicated to raising awareness about anaphylaxis and supporting everyone affected by serious allergies.

Back in 2024 we used Anaphylaxis Awareness Week to launch our ‘Hidden Battle With Allergies’ campaign demonstrating our commitment to tackle the often ‘hidden’ emotional challenges that can come with living with serious allergies.

We were overwhelmed by the response to this campaign… sadly it was a theme that resonated with so many of you. With that in mind, we have chosen to continue with for Anaphylaxis Awareness Week 2025, and we would love as many of you as possible to show your support for this awareness week.

More information on the theme and how you can get involved will be released next week, so do keep an eye out on our social media channels and bookmark our dedicated webpage : https://www.anaphylaxis.org.uk/news/events/anaphylaxis-awareness-week/

Together we can show people living with serious allergies that they are not alone on this journey.
