This morning we have responded to a serious collision between two HGVs on the A34 northbound between the M4 J13 and A4185 Chilton turn off.

Working with colleagues from Thames Valley Police, Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service, Thames Valley Air Ambulance and National Highways, we have taken one of the drivers involved to the major trauma unit at The John Radcliffe Hospital as he had sustained serious injuries.

The northbound carriageway is expected to be closed for a few hours and diversions are in place.
