Accountability statement:
It was brought to my attention this week, that on Monday 9th February, photographs and videos of me circulated the Earls Barton pages.
These images show a moment in time where I appear to be acting in a way that shows no regard for others, no regard for the community, no regard for the home owner, and clearly a lack of attention to the dog I am with.
I wish to take full responsibility for this. There are likely very few excuses that justify what appears to the readers and viewers to be a case of clear neglect.
However I would like to invite those who judged what they saw, to take a short moment to see if you are able to find compassion, and maybe even forgiveness, when I share with you what I was experiencing during that footage.
The video was recorded last week, on Wednesday 4th February at around 1pm.
During the days prior to this I had been extremely unwell, experiencing frightening moments of an accelerated heart rate that reach 205 bpm. On the Sunday night I had woken at 3am with only what I could describe as severe toothache, running from my midline, all the way down both legs. I could not sit, and I could not lay down. It was too painful. The only thing that slightly eased it was to keep moving. Every time I stood, sat or lay still, the pain increased. I had no idea of the cause, and had been trying desperately on the Wednesday to get through to the GP. You may have noticed in the video that I am constantly lifting up my legs, one at a time, to ease the discomfort. This is the reality of that moment- and whilst I remain responsible and accountable for not paying full attention to what the dog was doing (an almighty 💩-to my deepest regret)- this moment truly isn’t a reflection of who I am, how I behave or how I would treat an animal or our community.
With love and blessings to all who thought that the debasement of my character was the right action here, I offer you peace, and understanding- as I am the first to admit, that video looked absolutely disgraceful.
Sincere apologies.
