With summer coming up, you’ll start seeing a lot of fat loss messaging.

And I want to be really clear about who I am as a coach.

I do not offer fat loss advice or meal plans.

Looking at some of these photos, you might assume I’d be the perfect person to help with those goals.

The truth is, that version of me was very lean, but not healthy.

That experience taught me a lot. And whilst I’m in a better place now, I’m still unpicking.

Because of that, I honestly believe it would be irresponsible of me to offer that kind of support.

You deserve quality support.
You deserve professional support.

So I stay firmly in my lane.

I support women through all seasons of life to move with confidence, build strength, and feel safe in their bodies.

If you’re looking for fat loss support or nutritional advice, I will always refer you to the right professional.

Because good coaching isn’t about selling everything.
It’s about knowing where your expertise begins and ends.

The high impact, high intensity workouts you love aren’t harmful to your baby, but could have an impact on you.

It’s so reassuring to hear that babies are safe in there during your prenatal training, but you matter, too.

As your baby grows, so does the demand on your pelvic floor & core system.
Then throw in high impact, high intensity training, mixed with fatigue - form can break down and pressure through that core system may not be managed well.

There are ongoing studies to better understand how this kind of training affects our bodies beyond pregnancy, but there is no doubt that ineffectively managing pressure (pregnant or not) can negatively impact the pelvic floor.

The take away - allow yourself to slow down; to move more mindfully & with intention.
Stepping back now is supporting your future self.

My client felt heaviness when progressing a side plank.

We didn’t need to change the exercise, just added:

✨ A deep 360° breath to prepare
✨ Begin the exhale before starting the side plank

This gave her core system support.

Experiencing a symptom doesn’t necessarily mean we can’t do something, sometimes the strategy just needs a tweak.

Postnatal rehab is for everyone.
Not just newbies or people experiencing symptoms.

Because your body has done so much.
However your pregnancy looked.
However your recovery has felt.

Tissue has expanded.
Muscles and connective tissue have adapted as your baby grows.
Your ribs have expanded to make space.
Your pelvic floor has supported your organs, your baby, and your placenta.

It’s important to reconnect the dots.
Lay the foundations.

Not just in strength,
but in breath, coordination, and how you manage pressure through your body.

So that when you start to build, you’re strong, stable, and investing in your future self.

Show up as you are… because I sure will.

It’s not perfect.
It’s maybe a bit messy.
But the heart is there. The care is there.

Life is busy and sometimes hard.
Plates drop. Energy drops.

Hair doesn’t get washed, maybe not brushed.
Socks have holes in them.
Or maybe you’ve got your toddler’s snot on your jumper.

Maybe you’re not feeling chatty.
Perhaps anxious.

But I promise you, no matter how you show up, you’ll be welcomed exactly the same.

No judgement. 🫶🏻

Yep. There’s no strong evidence to suggest you need to be training around your cycle.

In fact, for some, this can lead to poorer progress over time.

Instead, let’s focus on listening to our bodies and adjusting as and when needed.

Because while some women may notice small changes across their cycle, it’s not consistent or predictable enough to base your training around.

Think -
A bit more rest in between sets.
Not going heavier or trying for more reps.
Backing off without guilt.

Consistency, progressive overload, and recovery will always matter more than what phase you’re in.

We are all different. Each day is going to be different.

Women don’t need yet another thing to think about.
We should be allowed to train as freely as men. And we CAN.

Intuitively.

Wishing this man a Happy Birthday today.

It felt fitting to take a moment to acknowledge all the support he’s given me.

When you’re running and building a business, it’s only really possible if you have a village around you.

Fred is my rock.

We build our businesses around each other so we can juggle the kids.
He picks up a lot at home (and rightly so 😉).

It’s easy to only see the person running the business, but behind that person are often others - quietly supporting, holding everything together.

So thank you, Fred. I couldn’t do this without you ❤️

We don’t run sessions back-to-back - and that’s intentional.

We build in 15 minute breaks between sessions.
On paper, it might not make sense.

But in real life… it makes all the difference.

No rushing in.
No rushing out.
No feeling like you’re on a conveyor belt.

Just a bit of space to land.
To breathe.
To chat.
To feel human.

It also means moments like this. 🫶🏻
Where different groups cross paths, conversations start, and connections are made beyond “your class”.

Because this was always the vision.
Not just sessions… but a community.

For me, this feels better.
Slower.
Softer.
More connected.

Because how it feels to be here matters.

I sprained my ankle recently and it got me thinking about rehab.

Whether it’s an injury or having a baby, your body has been through something significant. And the process of rebuilding really isn’t that different.

Work with someone who knows what they’re doing; it cuts out the noise and guesswork.

Do the work.
It won’t always be perfect, but show up and do it to the best of your ability.
Stay curious about how your body responds.

Rehab is as much about confidence as it is competence. After something like an injury or pregnancy, it takes time to rebuild trust in your body again.

Small, strategic steps. Trust the process.

And remember… rehab isn’t the finish line. It lays the foundation. From there we build, strengthen and maintain.

If you’re in the postnatal stage and wondering where to start with rebuilding strength, my Foundations Course starts again after Easter.

It’s designed to help you rebuild strength and confidence step by step, so you can move forward feeling capable in your body again.

If you’d like more details, just send me a message.
