Gym spaces have come a long way since I first started strength training.
Back then, the weights section was full of lads, and the cardio machines were where most of the women stayed.

And while things have moved forward, gyms are still very much male-dominated.
Most of the advice being handed out is based on research done on men.

I had no idea there were gyms or classes that supported women in pregnancy, after birth, or through perimenopause.

Sure, there were probably brilliant coaches out there doing this work…
But I didn’t know where to find them.
I didn’t even have a clue about women’s health & why that support was so valuable.

And I know I’m not alone in that.
There’s still so little education, support, or visibility for women through these key life stages.

Too many are left feeling confused, dismissed, or stuck — whether it’s managing symptoms postpartum, navigating training in pregnancy, or trying to stay strong through perimenopause.

And when support is offered, it often centres around the baby or focuses on aesthetics — not her.

But I believe women deserve something that’s just for them.
Something supportive. Something joyful.
A space that feels like a treat — not just another thing on the to-do list.

That’s what I’m trying to create.
A space where women feel seen, supported, and celebrated — through every season of life.

Community is everything.

You can have the best coaching, the best equipment — but if the energy isn’t right, none of it matters.

As someone who often finds new spaces intimidating, I know how important it is to feel safe, seen, and welcome. That’s why creating a kind, inclusive, supportive environment is a non-negotiable.

We have zero tolerance for ego, judgment, or negativity.
Only kindness, good vibes, and women cheering each other on.

I’m so proud of this community. The women who show up here are genuinely some of the most uplifting, generous, and empowering people I’ve ever met.

If you’ve been looking for your place — this might just be it. šŸ’›

Not all qualifications are created equal.

After qualifying as a pre and postnatal specialist, I’ll be honest — I still had so many questions.
I knew rehab was important, but I couldn’t quite connect the dots between what I’d learned and how to truly support women in the gym.

So I went deeper.
I became a Pregnancy & Postpartum Athleticism Coach — and it was a game changer.

This wasn’t just another course.
It covered everything from mindset and pelvic health to diastasis rehab.

And like with anything worth learning, it was just the beginning.
The more I learn, the more I realise how much more there is to know.

Because here’s the truth:
Pre and postnatal care is still lagging behind.
Too many blanket rules. Not enough nuance.
Not enough focus on what’s right for the actual person in front of us.

That’s why I’ve committed to building — and continually evolving — my coaching toolbox.
So that women can keep doing what they love, with support that’s evidence-based, person-centred, and free from the guesswork.

If that sounds like something you’ve been missing, I’d love to help.

Starting the week on a high, after doing the Total Warrior course with these guys yesterday.
What a team!

So great to do something different and step out of our comfort zone.

And so inspiring to see people doing things that they didn’t think they could do.

Now to recruit a bigger team for 2026… who’s in?! šŸ’ŖšŸ¼

All too often, we fall into the weekend with a never-ending to-do list—and forget to check in with ourselves.

So here’s your gentle reminder: pause for a moment today and ask yourself…
• What have I got on this weekend?
• What do I need?
• Who can take care of the kids?
• When is it going to fit in?

Make it a non-negotiable. Even 10 minutes just for you can make a difference.

What will you do for yourself this weekend? I’d love to hear.

PRAMFIT - THE TAKEOVER

Some of you might remember when this account was called Pramfit, and my other half, Fred, was the one running the show.

After I qualified as a Personal Trainer—with a specialism in pre and postnatal exercise—Fred asked me to coach alongside him. It was an amazing opportunity to learn from an experienced coach and be part of a thriving community.

Then Covid hit.

We tried to keep things going online, but truthfully, it didn’t come naturally to either of us. By the time the lockdowns ended, it felt like we were starting from scratch.

Somewhere in the middle of all that, Fred and I started a relationship—and he fell deeper down the jiu-jitsu rabbit hole.

I joke that I stole his business, but really, it made perfect sense. He wanted to follow his passion, and I wanted to work with mums. So I stepped in, and slowly, it became my own.

Taking this on has been transformational. It’s pushed me way out of my comfort zone.
There have been moments I’ve questioned whether I could do it at all.
But what’s kept me going is the support—first from Fred, and just as importantly, from the incredible women I’ve had the privilege of working with.
Supporting a small business like mine, truly means the world.

It’s been so rewarding to see things evolve over the years; it’s got me wondering what the future holds…

I felt like I lost myself after having my first baby.

There was no space for hobbies, interests — anything that made me, me.

I was just Mum.
ā€œEmmie’s Mum.ā€
Like that was the only thing to know about me.

And honestly, at the time… it kind of was.

But everything shifted when I started strength training.
That spark came back.
I felt strong. Empowered.
Excited about me again.

That’s when I knew — I wanted to help other mums feel this too.

Because postpartum can be so hard.
The identity shift can be brutal.

Creating space — and time — for women to reconnect with themselves is something I care deeply about.

I don’t want women to feel lost.
Like their needs don’t matter.

And over time, I’ve realised it’s not just mums I want to support — it’s all women, through every season of life.

Seeing women realise their strength.
Learn about their bodies.
Grow, in every sense of the word.

It’s honestly the most inspiring thing. šŸ«¶šŸ»

I haven’t posted in a while, so thought it was a good opportunity to reintroduce myself.

I’m Becky, a 40 year old mum of 2 & partner to (I’m still dropping not so subtle hints for an engagement ring šŸ’).

Juggling family life, taking care of my health, and my business.

The goal is to thrive, but let’s be honest, kids, peri-menopause & the busyness of life means thriving can sometimes be surviving. And you know what, that’s ok. (More on that in a separate post).

Like many mothers, I’ve struggled with my identity and finding/having the time for hobbies.

But as my kids have got older, I’ve had time to enjoy gardening, house plants (I’ve been propagating monsteras) and doing things that make me feel good - yoga , walks in the countryside & running.

To thrive we need balance, and that’s what I aim for.
For me, life isn’t about hustle.
I just want a happy and healthy family; quality time with them.
My health - physical & mental.
And a business that I’m proud of.

Forever evolving and doing my best to enjoy the ride. šŸ«¶šŸ»

There is so much more to postnatal exercise than just building strength.

Your body has been changing for around 9 months.

Now baby is here it’s changing again.

It’s going to feel different. And that’s ok. You don’t have to have it all figured out.

That’s why at the beginning of your postnatal journey, it pays to take it slow.

Not all exercises are there to build strength, rather a sensation.

That sensation helps you feel what you ideally ā€˜should’ be feeling.

It helps you connect the dots.

Once that’s established, exercises can be progressed, with more confidence & awareness.

This is just one consideration on your postnatal journey.
