BroTalk: Breaking The Silence

Due to difficulties securing our new venue and our usual space being unavailable, we won’t be holding BroTalk tonight. We appreciate your understanding and, most importantly, your continued support.

A huge thank you to everyone who has been part of BroTalk so far. Every conversation, every shared experience, and every new face walking through the door reminds us why this space matters.

We’re excited for next week, as we start hosting BroTalk across multiple venues to reach more men in our community.

Next Tuesday our first night at a new, more neutral venue.
The following week will be our usual session at the commercial, dining room.
Then this will be repeated for the forceable.

We’re also looking for more facilitators to help us run these sessions. If you’re passionate about supporting men’s mental health and want to get involved, drop us a message we’d love to chat.

Tonight we had no attendees and that’s okay. What matters is that BroTalk is always here. Every Tuesday, without fail.

We know that different environments work for different people, and while The Commercial has been a great space to connect, we also understand that a pub setting isn’t for everyone. To make BroTalk as accessible as possible, we’re working on introducing a second, more neutral venue. This will give more men the opportunity to join in a setting that feels right for them, while still keeping the option open for those who feel comfortable where we are now. Our goal has always been to reach as many people as possible, and we believe this step will help us do just that.

BroTalk is run entirely by a small, volunteer-led team, and we rely on community support to keep this going. Any funds raised go directly into running our evenings, promoting our mission, and creating merchandise to help spread the word. If you're struggling, feeling lost, or just carrying more than you should, you don’t have to do it alone. BroTalk is a space where lads can talk openly, without judgment, and be reminded that support is always here.

Tonight marked our second BroTalk session, with 4 men walking through the door, each taking that first step. We shared laughs, had honest conversations, and maybe even a tear or two - but most importantly, we showed up for each other. And that’s what matters.

If you’ve been thinking about coming along, know that BroTalk is a safe, confidential space where what’s said in the circle stays within the circle. No pressure, no judgment, just support.

A huge thank you to the men who joined us tonight. This is progress. This is a step forward. Together, we keep going.

BroTalk is back at The Commercial, Easingwold this Tuesday at 7 PM, offering a space where you can be yourself, no pressure, no judgment—just good company and real conversations.

Life throws challenges at all of us, and you don’t have to face them alone. Whether you want to open up or just be around people who understand, you’re always welcome.

If you’ve been debating whether to come along, take this as your sign. One night, one chat. It might not fix everything, but it could make things feel a little lighter.

Unfortunately, due to illness, we are unable to run BroTalk this evening. As a small volunteer-led initiative, we have to prioritize everyone’s well-being. In this case we are unable to host safely.

We understand that attending these sessions can take a lot of courage, and we sincerely apologize for any disappointment this may cause. However, we want to reassure you that BroTalk will return as usual next Tuesday.

If you are struggling and need immediate support, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your GP or organizations such as Simaritans (116 123 – free to call, available 24/7). Please also remember our inbox is always open.
