After careful consideration with the practice team and consultation with local pharmacies, the practice has taken the decision to discontinue the batch prescribing service with immediate effect.
This decision has been made in line with guidance and recommendations from NHS England. Patient safety remains our highest priority, particularly in relation to medication safety, medicines management, and ensuring appropriate monitoring and regular clinical review.

โข We are unable to accept repeat prescription requests by telephone, except for patients who are registered as housebound. This is to reduce the risk of prescribing errors and improve patient safety.
โข Requests submitted too early without clinical reason may be returned or followed up by the practice team to confirm the reason for the early request. This is part of our safeguarding processes to prevent medication overuse or misuse.
