Did you now that the Slimming World plan allows you to eat normal foods and lose weight. One of my favourite dishes is steak and chips 😋

🤩Recipe of the Week 🤩

Steak and chips

It’s a classic – and totally Free!

🥩🍟Ingredients 🥩🍟

⭐️1 large baking potato, cut into chips
⭐️Low-calorie cooking spray
⭐️1 lean beef steak, visible fat removed
⭐️2-3 tbsp fat-free natural fromage frais
⭐️1 level tsp Dijon mustard
⭐️Mixed salad, to serve

🤩Method 🤩

⭐️Preheat your oven to 200°C/fan 180°C/gas 6. Cook the chips in a saucepan of boiling water over a high heat for 10 minutes, or until just starting to soften. Drain, return to the pan and shake to roughen the edges a little.

⭐️Tip the chips into a non-stick baking tray, spritz with low-calorie cooking spray and toss well. Cook in the oven for 30 minutes or until they’re done how you like them, then season with a little salt.

⭐️When the chips have 15 minutes to go, spray a non-stick frying pan with low-calorie cooking spray and put it over a high heat. Lightly season the steak and cook for 2½ minutes on each side for medium rare, or 3 minutes on each side for medium. Remove from the heat, cover the steak with foil and set aside for at least 5 minutes to rest.

⭐️In a small serving pot, mix the forage frais with the mustard. Serve the steak and chips with the mustard sauce and the mixed salad.

How amazing 😍👏🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Make some noise for Claire! She lost a jaw-dropping 18st 7.5lbs (117.7kg) and is our Woman of the Year 2025 👑🌟!

At her heaviest, Claire felt at rock bottom. Her weight affected every part of her life, and though she longed to start a family she couldn’t conceive 💔. Hoping to lose enough weight to have IVF, Claire joined Slimming World – and just nine months later, she’d lost 8st 7.5lbs (54.2kg)… and conceived naturally!

Fast forward to now, and Claire has two gorgeous children and a healthy and happy future with them ahead 🤗.

🤩Recipe of the Week 🤩

🍲Slow-cooker chicken and mushroom fricassee🍲

Chunks of chicken and veg simmered in a punchy paprika, garlic and herb sauce. Itʼs exactly the kind of simple, supremely satisfying recipe your slow cooker was made for!

🤩Ingredients 🤩

⭐️2 large leeks, thickly sliced
⭐️3 large carrots, sliced
⭐️400g white or button mushrooms, halved or quartered
⭐️2 garlic cloves, crushed
⭐️1 tsp paprika
⭐️1 tbsp fresh thyme leaves, plus extra to serve
⭐️4 skinless and boneless chicken breasts, cut into small chunks
⭐️3 bay leaves
⭐️250ml hot chicken stock
⭐️2 level tbsp cornflour
⭐️4 tbsp plain quark

🤩Method 🤩

⭐️Put the leeks, carrots, mushrooms and garlic in your slow-cooker pot. Mix the paprika, thyme, ½ tsp salt and some black pepper in a shallow dish, then add the chicken and toss to coat well. Lay the chicken chunks on top of the vegetables in the slow cooker, add the bay leaves and pour over the stock. Cover and cook on high for 2-2½ hours or until the chicken is almost tender.

⭐️Mix the cornflour with a little water to make a paste and stir it into the fricassee. Cover again and cook for 30 minutes or until thickened.

⭐️Stir the quark into the fricassee and scatter over the extra thyme. This is great served with swede mash.

If you don’t have a slow cooker, put all the ingredients up to the stock in a non-stick casserole pan, cover and cook for 1 hour in the oven at 160°C/fan 140°C/gas 3. Stir in the cornflour paste, return to the oven and cook for a further 30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked, then follow step 3.

I had an absolute ball at the Slimming World Awards 2025 🎉 The incredible Ashley Banjo hosted the evening — and just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, we were treated to a surprise performance from Diversity! 💃🕺

It was such an amazing night celebrating everything Slimming World stands for — inspiration, achievement and togetherness 💖 Massive congratulations to all of the well-deserved award winners 🏆

On Sunday it’s British pudding day 😋
Did you know that on Slimming Worlds Food Optimising plan you can still enjoy a pudding and lose weight?
Check out this scrumptious looking pudding.

🤩Recipe of the Week 🤩

🫚Steamed ginger pudding🫚

These gorgeous little puddings are wonderfully warming on a cold day. Rich with the flavours of ginger and spice, there’s pleasure in every spoonful!

🤩Ingredients 🤩

⭐️Low-calorie cooking spray
⭐️4 level tbsp reduced-sugar apricot jam
⭐️2 eggs, separated
⭐️25g golden caster sugar
⭐️4 level tbsp sweetener granules
⭐️75g self-raising flour
⭐️3 tsp ground ginger
⭐️½ tsp ground allspice
⭐️1 level tbsp finely chopped stem ginger

🤩Method 🤩

⭐️Preheat the oven to 200°C/fan 180°C/gas 6. Spray 4 individual pudding basins with low-calorie cooking spray and place in a deep roasting dish. Spoon 1 tbsp jam into each of the basins.
⭐️Whisk the egg yolks with the sugar and sweetener until pale and fluffy. Sieve in the flour, ground ginger and allspice and stir to mix well.
⭐️Whisk the egg whites until soft peaks form and fold into the egg mixture with the stem ginger. Spoon this into the prepared basins, cover with baking parchment and foil and pour boiling hot water into the roasting dish to come halfway up the sides of the basins.
⭐️Place in the oven and steam for 20-25 minutes or until just firm and springy to the touch.
⭐️Put a plate over each basin and invert to turn out the puddings.
