16 (maybe 17 weeks) now. starting to really notice baby in there now.
All is well. 20 week scan in 3 weeks, which I'm looking forward to.
My local NHS homebirth team are still not saying yes to supporting me yet. I have to ask again after 18 weeks!

Baby's continues to grow at a rapid rate.
moving all the time (most women can not feel their baby at this gestation). Although, I'm sure I've felt one or two movements.
Baby is swallowing amniotic fluid and practising to breathe.
Littles ones face is starting to look for human and less alien!!
And I am mostly excited that baby will ebay starting to hear this week!
I've told to kids we can start talking and singing to baby 🥰🥰🥰

Baby bump slowly but surely getting bigger!!

Our conception/fertility journey through 6 pregnancies. Our first pregnancy was in 2016 and last one now in 2026! 10 years - 6 pregnancies and 2, nearly 3 babies. 🥰

Growth scans!!
1st pregnancy vs 2nd pregnancy vs 3rd pregnancy!!!

This is not professional advice. However, before agreeing to growth scans make sure you have done your research on the inaccuracy of them and know how maternity services are making decisions based on these scans, knowing the only accurate way to know a baby's weight is to put them on the scales once they are born
Now don't get me wrong, there is definitely a place for further assessment of some baby's but the outcomes of the interventions caused by growth scans are not improving. They are becoming routine and they often aren't helping. Please inform yourself before making big decisions based on inaccurate tools.
70% of the time scans can be up to 10% wrong and 30% of the time they are more than 10% wrong!!

I personally declined growth scans in my 2nd pregnancy and don't plan to have any during this pregnancy. I have "bigger" babies, and don't want to be pulled into the 'big baby' rollercoaster of intervention.
