Covid and Flu vaccinations

Dear All,
We have started sending out invitation texts to over 75's and those in the eligible cohorts for direct booking into a clinic on either the 4th or 11th October at East Harling Surgery to receive both covid and flu vaccinations.
We will start sending out invitation texts for those eligible for flu only shortly.

Advance notice of closure for Staff Training - Wednesday 21st May.
Dear Patients,
Please be aware that the Practice will be closed between 13:00 and 16:00 on Wednesday 21st May for staff training. During this time you will not be able to access the Surgery or collect medication.

Due to Internet issues we are having problems with our telephones. Our providers are working hard to sort this but as widescale it is taking longer than hoped.
We apologise for the inconvenience but this is outside of our control.

Please be aware that the Practice will be closed next Tuesday, 17th December, for full staff training from 13:00 and reopening at 16:00.

REPEAT PRESCRIPTION ORDERING
Dear Patients,
The cut-off date for repeat prescription orders for pre-Christmas collection will be Friday 13th December for ALL patients.
The Practice will only be closed on Wednesday 25th and Thursday 26th December, and again on Wednesday 1st January 2025.
Please ensure you leave enough time for your repeat requests to be processed as we cannot guarantee medication will be ready for collection if ordered after the 13th December.

Dear Patients,
Due to the ongoing power cut in East Harling we have had to essentially close the Surgery we as unable to undertake any consultations or use the telephones. Anyone with an appointment booked between now and 5.45 p.m. this evening , this will be cancelled and we will be in contact ASAP to rearrange. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Dear Patients,

This Autumn a new RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) vaccination will be available for over 75's. RSV is a common cause of coughs and colds which usually get better by themselves, but it can be serious for older adults. We will shortly be sending out text message invites to a clinic we are running on Saturday 14th September - by clicking on the link in the text you will be able to book your own appointment. Patients without mobile phones can either come in or telephone to book an appointment.
NOTE: This vaccination is being offered in addition to the annual Autumn flu and COVID boosters - clinic details of which will be published soon.

We are able to offer the COVID Spring Booster vaccination here at the Surgery and our first clinics will be running this Saturday, 27th April. We are in the process of sending texts to those in the eligible categories and by clicking on the link you can book directly into a clinic. Alternatively, please call in or telephone reception (01953) 717204 to book. This booster is available to those aged over 75 (you need to be 75 years old by 30th June 2024) or are 6 months to 74 years old and have a weakened immune system.
