Happy New Year from the Keegan's 💙
As we step into a brand new year, we want to take a moment to look back on just how much this community has achieved together.
This year, Little Brains has grown in ways we could only have hoped for.
✨We expanded our Unmasked Boys and Girls groups to four sessions a week, welcomed 134 new families and 17 incredible volunteers, and worked alongside brilliant community organisations like the Colts and NB Dance.
✨We ran issue-based sessions, hosted an information session with Love Autism, explored the outdoors with forest den building, and expanded our provision to include under 5s.
✨We’ve watched children grow in confidence beyond expectations - some now accessing groups and opportunities they once couldn’t.
✨We’ve seen older children become young volunteers, and volunteers complete important training, graduate, and move on to amazing jobs.
✨We formed a board, raised £800 for Waist Not Want Not to support their new building, and were blown away by the support of local businesses and donors.
We also shared some truly special moments together with an amazing Halloween party and a fab Christmas celebration.
It hasn’t all been smooth we faced challenges with our space and roof, we had a very difficult pregnancy and time off. But what stood out most was how our volunteers stepped up, held the space, and kept Little Brains going. We’ve also had ongoing challenges recruiting for our Monday night boys group, something we’ll continue working on together.
And as we look ahead… we’re so excited to say that we have secured our own building for 2026 , a huge milestone and a real sign of what’s to come.
Thank you to every family, volunteer, partner, and supporter who has been part of our journey this year. Little Brains exists because of you.
Here’s to a new year full of hope, growth, and community.
Happy New Year 💫
