The crew were practicing their tie dye tonight before moving on to their own t-shirts , jumpers, socks, baby grows - you name it!!

These are done on cotton squares, if anybody could make this into a collaborative piece for us like a pillow or something- that would be amazing?

Can't wait to see all of their creations once they have settled and dried ✅♥️

I would just like to clarify for anybody worried about what Trump is saying:

If you used paracetamol in pregnancy, please know this: the best research shows it does not cause autism. Large, carefully done studies - even comparing brothers and sisters - have found no link. Any tiny differences seen in earlier research were likely down to other health factors (that made you need to take paracetamol), not the medicine.

You did nothing wrong. Taking paracetamol when you needed it was not a mistake, and it didn’t cause your child’s autism.

Mans an idiot! As if more mum guilt was needed !!

👏👏👏👏 Can we just take a moment to appreciate this effort from a local barber shop👏👏👏👏

Imagine you’re forced to sit still while someone touches your face and head, blasts loud noises in your ears, drops itchy powder down your shirt, shines bright lights in your eyes, and you don’t know when it will stop.

That’s close to how it can feel for an autistic child, and yes a sensory corner doesnt take away the noise or the itchiness..
A sensory corner helps a barber shop move from being a place of potential overwhelm to a place where a child’s needs are understood and supported.

I have a really big corner oak desk that has storage at either side and book shelves underneath ( I've taken it apart before getting a photo- silly of me).

Id like to donate it to a young person needing a space for studying if anybody would like to take it ❤️

Good enough parenting is more than enough. Decades of research in child development shows that children do not need perfect parents. They need consistent care, emotional warmth, and the chance to experience repair when things go wrong.

The idea comes from Donald Winnicott, a British psychoanalyst who observed that when parents respond well to their child’s needs most of the time, the child develops a secure attachment. Attachment research has continued to show that security is built through reliability and responsiveness, not perfection.

Moments of misattunement or frustration are not damaging in themselves. What matters is how the parent responds afterwards. Studies have found that when parents repair these moments with comfort, acknowledgment, or apology, children learn that relationships can recover. This teaches resilience, emotional regulation, and trust.

Good enough parenting is not about lowering the bar. It is about showing up most of the time, offering love and guidance, setting clear boundaries, and being willing to admit mistakes. This is what creates the sense of safety that allows children to explore the world and to believe they are worthy of care.

Children thrive not because their parents never get it wrong but because their parents are human, responsive, and good enough.
