HEADACHES!
Often when you go the GP about headaches they will request you have an eye test. The vast majority of checks will be fine or require a simple pair of glasses, but GPs want to rule out more serious issues. This image shows a swollen nerve, or 'papilloedema'. This young patient required urgent referral to hospital for MRI and further investigations. Eye checks reveal a lot about your general health.

October has been a busy month for the Queen Bees, filled with games in sunshine, rain, and even the first taste of winter winds! Between the matches and Halloween socials, the team has continued to put in the hard work at training, pushing the standard higher each week. Players have been taking on new positions, learning new skills, and showing real commitment to developing their game.

This month’s player of the month has done exactly that. Starting the season in a new position, she’s made a seamless transition from winger to outside centre, and she’s absolutely thriving there.

Always giving 110% at training (especially when fitness is involved!), she’s been a constant driving force on the pitch. She’s scored from some brilliant team tries, shown slick footwork to step past defenders, and helped create attacking plays that keep the Bees moving forward.

Over the last few weeks, she’s even taken on a new challenge, learning to take conversions, showing her dedication to improving every aspect of her game.
