Hi. I’m Caroline. I discovered reiki by chance, or should I say reiki found me? My health had been poor on and off for years. By 2010 I was unable to work for 9 months, 6 of which I spent in bed despite having 4 young children. Fortunately I have a great G.P. and I was eventually diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. (or M.E.) With the right medical guidance I gradually became stronger and after a very long phased return, I managed to work again three days a week. Despite wishing to increase this back to full time I was never able to.
In 2012/13 I attended a group with my two youngest children where they had arranged taster sessions of reiki. I’d never heard of it before and gave it a try. I liked the brief experience and decided to attend a reiki share the next week. After this I was completely pain free for 3 whole days. I had forgotten what that felt like! I found a reiki practitioner and began to have reiki sessions regularly. I felt stronger than I had for a very long time. They say reiki clears anything that isn’t good for you. In July 2013 my marriage ended. Having 4 children and working wasn’t easy but I managed. My reiki practitioner suggested that I learn reiki for myself in order to work on myself and for the benefit of my children. I achieved my Reiki 1 and 2 certificate on 29/2/16 . I began to practice on friends and family with exciting results.
By this time I had made lots of new friends and had met an amazing new partner. My life had transformed. I decided to study for my reiki masters. That was an incredible experience and I achieved y Reiki Master/ Teacher qualification in September 2018.
I love working with reiki energy and feel highly privileged to be able to bring some calmness into the lives of others. My dream is to give up my original job as a primary teacher ( I graduated in 1994.) and have reiki as my full time job. I also love crystals and intend to qualify as a Crystal Healer, (when the kids give me a minute!) Keep an eye on the events for details of crystal workshops I host and reiki training days or pm me to book in for some reiki. I honestly believe it has to be experienced to be understood!
