There really is something magical and invigorating about being out in nature.
I am a water baby, always loved and felt drawn to the ocean, swimming and used to Scuba Dive as well as being Scorpio which is a water sign.
When life is challenging there is nothing better to still the mind than the sound of the waves and feeling that sea air on your face.
I am finding myself drawn to the sea even more with this current lockdown, working from home this time has been a right battle for me, feelings of being isolated, suffocated and generally just imprisoned in my own home. I used to feel like I could switch off from the housework, kids, mess etc by escaping to work. Then tackle whatever needed done in the evening.
Being in the house all day everyday has been difficult, I have struggled with just shutting the door to the mess or housework while sitting on the laptop in another room. This has made it harder to concentrate and focus on work. The struggle to be motivated is very real and you become trapped in a vicious circle.
Your mind and racing thoughts of everything needing to be done, both at home and work starts to take over and then the exhaustion kicks in.....overthinking is as tiring if not more than running a 10K. Its a constant fight that takes alot of discipline and hard work to still the mind and find that peace so you can tackle things logically.
For me being mindful by the beach (quite often with little Buddy the Jack Russell) and practicing daily meditation as well as using my crystals has been my therapy.
βEmpty your mind, be formless, shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.β ~ Bruce Lee
