I offer individuals a safe, quiet space to feel understood and listened to. I recognise at times in our lives we may all have the need for an understanding non-judgemental, supportive, compassionate person to assist us explore difficult issues. Counselling can be a place, to share worries and anxieties; during this therapeutic relationship we can develop new understandings and awareness. This can

enable, possibilities for change to be explored, and personal growth to occur. As a therapist I will not be able to provide you answers to your life difficulties, however I am here to help you explore them and then support you select the best options for yourself. I have experience with working with male and female clients in both brief focused therapy and longer term therapy if required. Feel free to contact me for more information.

£35 per hour - Monday - Friday
£50 per hour - Saturday

Okay… this was the update an hour later 😅🦚

Percy is STILL here… still squawking… still demanding snacks like he owns the place.

At this point I’ve accepted that today’s productivity has been officially cancelled 🙃
Also, Obligatory selfie 😅

Honestly though, how can you not be distracted by that level of beauty!!!…. those feathers?!
He’s now done a full patrol of the garden and constantly at my bedroom window … just in case I forgot about him.

💧 Hydration ☕️Foundation for Wellbeing 🤍

It sounds simple, but staying hydrated plays a powerful role in both our physical and emotional health.

When we’re dehydrated, we may notice:
• Increased anxiety or irritability
• Brain fog and difficulty concentrating
• Low mood or fatigue
• Headaches and tension

Even mild dehydration can impact how we think, feel, and cope.

✨ Supporting your nervous system doesn’t always have to be complex sometimes it starts with the basics:
• Regular sips of water throughout the day
• Not waiting until you feel thirsty
• Adding variety (herbal teas, fruit infused water)
• Noticing how your body feels when you’re well-hydrate

In therapy, we often explore deeper patterns and experiences, but we also come back to these foundational acts of care.

Day 2 ✔️

My favourite keynote speakers today were definitely the ones diving into the research!! we need more of this in EMDR, it’s so important for the future of our work 🙌 🙏🏼

Really enjoyed the research symposium and hearing the latest developments, I’m hoping to get involved with some studies, it’s what keeps our practice evolving and grounded in evidence.

Also made some lovely new connections to stay in touch with, which is always one of the best parts of these events 🤍

And… managed to sneak in some sunshine again on the breaks ☕️🌞

Day 1 at the EMDR UK Conference in Bristol ☀️

A really rich start to the conference today from the presidential address this morning, through to some very thought provoking talks on the neurobiology of EMDR, OCD, and hearing clients’ lived experiences of intensive EMDR. So much to take in already. This is something I currently offer as an EMDR Therapist, so I found this workshop super validating.

Currently enjoying a sunny coffee break ☕ and a moment to pause, reflect, and let some of it land before the final workshop of the day.

Feeling grateful to be here connecting, learning, and sharing space with such a passionate community.

“EMDR has been life-changing. I absolutely love it.”

It’s so encouraging to hear Lily Allen speak openly about her experience of EMDR therapy on the Miss Me? podcast.

She describes how a recent session helped her explore her relationship with money and self-worth, such a powerful reminder that EMDR isn’t only for ‘big T’ trauma. It can also gently uncover the beliefs, patterns, and past experiences that shape how we see ourselves and move through everyday life.

EMDR can support healing on many levels, from trauma processing to self-esteem, attachment wounds, and long-held negative beliefs.

🥾Birthday Hike Reflections ⛰️

A birthday spent exactly how I love it most! out on the trails, surrounded by nature (and, of course, my dogs 🐾).

Spending time outdoors is one of the simplest and most powerful ways to support our wellbeing:

✨ Boosts mood and reduces stress
✨ Improves focus and emotional regulation
✨ Supports physical health and sleep
✨ Encourages mindfulness and gratitude
✨ Strengthens our sense of connection to nature, ourselves, and those we walk beside

As therapists (and humans😄), it’s easy to forget that our own regulation and nourishment matter too. Time in nature is one of my favourite ways to reset and reflect, a reminder that slowing down is part of the work, not separate from it.

Here’s to more mindful miles, muddy paws, and moments of stillness 🥾🥾🌿💚🐾🤎🥾🥾
